    Feel free to discuss.

EDIT: I am aware there is already a thread on a similar topic, but I am interested in the results of this specific poll.

Stopped in high school. Back then I was more for decriminalization because I was more concerned about the product losing quality of controlled and sold from outlets. Now that I don't give a shit, it's actually proving to be really profitable in the states where it's legal. The government could really bring it a good stack of $$$ from pulling their head out of their ass on this one.

I occasionally smoke and I don't see an issue in it. It's actually quite beneficial in terms of taxes and putting more money in circulation. It also has Medical benefits for people with seizures, etc.
    I support.

Same here, and believe this: It has saved many people in other cases too :)
Seems like most of the people here are ready for legalisation.

I completely agree with the legalization. It's beneficial in so many ways and I could also rip some fat ass hits now and then.

So the quality improves when it's legalized?

No, quality would theoretically be reduced because it's all controlled. Think of tobacco, when aboriginals were smoking it it was basically like their marijuanna. It was very potent. Now it's mixed with chemicals and nicotine to get you hooked (tobacco on its own isn't super addictive). Eventually after legalization, chances are weed companies would get as big as tobacco companies and spike their product with nicotine and other chemicals just as they have with tobacco.

I beg to differ I think government regulated Marijuana would be safer than the Marijuana being grown by drug dealers.

In this instance I don't think quality = safety. I'm speaking for blu so I could be totally wrong but I think he's trying to say it'll lose its "kick" and it'll be less potent and more addictive.

I'm confused about what 'safe' cannabis is. Even the shit where I live that is grown and then smuggled in as brick from paraguay is perfectly safe. Unless they are putting in additives I probably wouldn't know what else would constitute unsafe weed.

edit: just now reading blupig's post

I think that can be solved by simple regulation. The reason why it isn't regulated as much with cigarettes is that the tobacco industry is massive with incredible political pull. If you regulate marijuana before large corporations invest billions into manufacturing you can more easily stop this progression.

I dont use it, but I have in the past. I am all for legalization if it is taxed correctly and monitored like alcohol when driving.

Never smoked, but I couldn't really care less to be honest. There would need to be laws about driving while high in my opinion (don't quote me your experiences, the evidence is conclusive on that) but other than that who cares lol?

I've never done it, don't have anything against it though. As Dun said, laws would need to be set. Although I've heard it helps some people focus.

I don't smoke it anymore, but I am for legalization no matter what, at least remove jail/prison time for it.

I rarely do it but I'm for legalization. Slowly, every state will have legalized it and other countries will follow.

I do support legalization of cannabis.
It doesn't affect the people that don't smoke so why not.

Also it would be a huge thing to tax so I don't really understand why it's still mostly illegal / criminalized.

Hopefully the uk will take note of the us soon and actually get some money back into the country by taxing it and lowering the number of people with their permanent records tarnished

As a UK citizen, I feel like the medical benefits outweigh the negative aspects. Besides the negative effects such as crime would be nullified, taxation would benefit the public/economy, decrease in drug dealing etc.

Never touched the stuff, but as someone who's seen their friends use it (Some almost everyday), I've never seen any issues with it or its effects, apart from I personally hate the smell.

Seems to very quite a safe drug from what I've seen, and the laws slowly seem to get softer and softer (Medicinal Marijuana used now, etc.) So I'd be fine if it was legalized. Might even give it a go.
