How old were you when you first discovered RuneScape and how did you hear about it?

I was around 9, maybe 10. It was 3rd grade and couple of my friends played it.

I remember one of my friends describing Moparscape to me saying, "It's like RuneScape but you can have any item you want and there's custom items! Black partyhats!"

Lol, those were the days. :')

 

I started playing back in I believe to be 04, have been playing on / off ever since. Back in '04 I was only 8 years old, and my brother told me about it.

 

I believe i was turning 14. Long time ago now. Fell in love with the game for sure

 

8 years old, 5th grade. My friend told me about it, so I tried playing it. I guess thats how everyone starts out.

Either that or they found it on miniclip.

 

Like 10 years old. Played it for like 1 week and couldn't even get past tutorial island. Came back to it when I was like 12 and actually got past tut island and started playing

 

I was like 7-8, my cousin used to play and showed it to me

 

A few of my friends in highschool played it, started back in like 2004-2005... had many really good accounts and lost most of them due to botting....

I was 9 in 2004 !!!!

 

Around 11-12, found out from classmates. Showed some cousins, and that may have made me the best (or worst if you count life wasted) game recommender.

 

I believe it was when I was 8 in 2002.... Honestly I'm not sure because it's all a blur really. I know that my friend in real life showed it to me and we both played for like 3 or 4 years after. 3 or 4 years of being a total noob in the ways in Runescape I would say because as far as I can tell, I was crap at playing Runescape.

After a while though, my friend convinced me to move to World of Warcraft. We played that for like a year before ultimately having to quit.

It wasn't until 2009 that I decided to give Runescape another shot, starting a new account. For the first few months, I was playing like normal, but also making much faster progress than I was on my original account. However, in September of 2009, that all stopped for I had found my true rebirth into Runescape, I started doing glitches.

From late 2009 to mid 2012, I did pretty much nothing in Runescape except find and perform glitches. Ranging from stance smuggles and weird little graphicals to item smuggles, a noclip, and a pathetic little money duplication glitch, guaranteeing rates of cash that I'm sure higher level players could beat by playing legit.

For a number of reasons I had to stop glitching for a while, but then I started coming back in 2014, glitching off and on again.

Due apologies to anyone here who was experiencing disconnections at World 18 wilderness near Edgeville during the month of August and early September in 2014.

 

I heard about it when I was in 5th grade from my classmates, so I was either 10 or 11. I stayed at f2p for a while, but then my brother saw me playing it one day, and he told me he also used to play it. He then said that f2p sucked and I should get p2p. He gave me a 3month p2p card, and instantly got hooked on to it .

 

I heard in 4th grade and been playing ever since. However, I took some a couple years off in between.

When I was about 9, I started playing at home on dial-up with my school buddies.

 

One of my older cousins showed me this game when I was about 7-8 years old. After dying and losing my stuff I quit the game. 3-4 years later my next door neighbor would always talk about runescape. I knew what it was, but I didn't play it anymore. I remember I tricked him to think I was a player mod. I told him I knew people and I'll help him get mod. He eventually found out though..

 

When I was 9, on an advertisement on Adventure Quest Played once then got bored, then a few years later a lot of my friends started playing so I did too ;p

 

I was 14 and so happy to be runescapin' lol

 

I was 5 and my older cousins were playing classic so I had a go.

 

I first saw someone play it back in 2nd grade and was mind blown, but I didn't hop on the game until about 3 years later
