Not hard to see why it was cleared and denied really, he just beat around the bush and tried to justify his actions. I'm guessing whoever offered support didn't want their credibility publicly tarnished and removed their posts shortly after it was denied lol.

 

I think keeping someone banned over something as stupid as that is pointless. Ghast was a contributing community member. There aren't many of those left and they're fewer every day.

 

As tedious as it may seem, the rules are rules and violating those rules warrants an apology/reassurance at the very least. He just went about it completely the wrong way lol.
