Blue screen of death when playing blackops2

Do you know why this happens?:S when i minimize the game so i can check my skype, i get blue screen sometimes

any error code, or minidump file?

 

i tried it, let see if it works.

@delta it started giving out a bizzing noise, then Blue screen and it dubmped files to hard drvive then restarted

 

mind posting the dump file or the error code?


bluescreen viewer by nirsoft is a nifty tool to download. i recomend getting that and then taking a screenshot of what it says.

How much RAM are you using? Could be that tbh

 

8gb ram i didnt get the error for 2 days now, lets wait

 

I think it's skype tbh, the only time my computer freezes is when i use skype it ends up locking all my other programs..

I had the same kind of problem a little over a year ago. My computer would blue screen when playing a game or watching videos. It turned out to be the graphics card. I took it out, went back to the onboard graphics and didn't get one for a week. I contact the company, got a new card and haven't gotten another one since *knock on wood*. If you have a graphics card, take it out and see if you still get it.

Firstly check your RAM
Download 'memtest' and burn disc image on CD/DVD disc or on bootable pendrive, if RAM is fine I'd suggest formatting the whole system drive to make sure it's not system's fault. If that doesnt help it might be HDD broken, there's something like Checkdsk or checkdisk program / command in CMD to check your HDD, I had problems with blue screens and it turned out I had HDD broken physically. If you bought additional RAM it might be reason of the problem too, some motherboards need to have this RAM declared in BIOS, IDK much about it, my friend has this problem and he's too lazy to fix it
