Yes, it'd kill tons of merchanting bots and most likely increase GP price

 

What's to stop merchanting bots from making their script merch on the GE? It will just make their profit higher only.

And let's face it, there's nothing much we can do about merchanting bots and so, with the GE or not, they will still be there.

Now, personally, I am leaning towards a yes as its a great quality of life update that made my playing experience so much more enjoyable. It had saved me lots of time and I am sure most of us would love to spend that time doing things that we actually love like pking, slaying etc instead of hopelessly waiting for a player to sell us an item.

GE wouldn't be bad at all provided it didn't have set prices/limits.

 

now hear me out, guys. I'd vote yes for something similar. here's my idea.

Idea: A private island with its own teleport (kinda like the minigame teleports that we get for free every 20 mins). This island would be the size of a ge, where everyone has their own specific area to sell what they want (exactly like current rs3 ge) So herbs would be in the herb place, armour in armour place, third age in third age area. Of course we can't enforce that people do this, but there would be soooo much space that nobody would be crowded and you can find what you're looking for easily. I'd vote for something like that. it is middle ground to ge and merch bots that everyone seems to want.

 

Oh my bad, I know. I'm just saying in general to anyone that really wants it...imo it'd make the game too easy. Like how I feel RS 3 is too easy.

I would vote no. 07 not having a G.E. is one of the aspects that makes it 07, if you add G.E. I fear that slowly all the aspects from rs3/eoc will continue to be added.

Zybez basically is the Grand Exchange anyways. Might as well put it in the game and get rid of the merchbots. I'm completely fine with changing anything in this game up until eoc (excluding getting rid of wild and free trade). That's what made me quit the game tbh. Besides if we let them get the game to where it was pre eoc we could have better graphics which would in turn get more people to play besides the nostalgic veterans.

 

Of course, would make the game 10 times easier.

 

I like spamming for hours in all honesty been a player since 01 and its just pure fun idk i like it so i would vote no and if it was GE i want the old GE like the middle bank and thats all not like the 4 side banks and shit i want 1 central bank in the middle was cool but i dont want GE in oldschool makes the game to much easier and will make skills cheaper

 

I personally would say no but on the other hand if they brang out a system that made trading easier (No G.E) but something similar would be great.

 

Can't even remember last time I sold or bought anything in w1. I'm using zybez. But back in the day I used to collect almost every quest item myself so I try to do that too. People have just gotten too lazy thanks to the GE. I'd still say no to the GE.

I can't believe how many people are saying yes. This is 2007scape! It's not meant to be like preeoc RS! It's supposed to be hard and old school. I understand people don't like merch bots though, but that's a separate issue

 

A big no.
If GE is introduced, production skills (Smithing, Cooking, Herblore) will not be profitable or have the chance to be profitable. Xp in those skills will become money sinks, whereas now there is opportunity to make profit if you buy at the right price. People will more easily be able to "buy" level 99's, as prices will be lower and items easier to obtain. It would kill the game, devalue the economy, and ruin the opportunity to make money while skilling.

 

I would vote no.
Cbf with merching clans manipulating prices making billions while regulare players wont be able to get hold of the items they need. I know this can happen without GE, but lets be honest, the GE would make it alot easier.

 

The GE makes people lazy... it was just a way to cater the lazy peoples needs.
