    Upcoming World Championship

What with the world championships quickly arriving I was wondering what everyone's opinions about the different regions are.

Is the NA and EUW meta too stagnant? Will this pose a problem for them when they compete against the innovative strategies of the asian scene?

Do you think teams that have been dominating their region such as C9 and OMG are the likely winners or is their an underdog you have some confidence in or simply want to win?

Are there any teams you feel should have made it to worlds but didn't make the cut?

Feel free to discuss whatever ^^

C9 are in my opinion the only team from NA that will be able to compete vs the asian giants.

I agree. Their teamfighting is so beautiful and flawless. If they get snowballed against early though if they make a little mistake, there may be a chance..

How is NA stagnant NA has evolved more and faster then any other nation. The game gets balanced based on NA meta which is one problem that NA has to struggle with (keep creating new strats when nerfs/buffs).

EU and NA created the current meta there are very few differences between countries in overall meta.

EU is more focused on small fights and less on objectives champs like Riven, Tryndy and Aatrox are top picks here.

NA is focused on team fights and objectives they basically just try to get a small map advantage like a kill and pressure dragon/tower. Champs like
Rumble/Shen are great here due to their ability to defend tower dives.

China focuses on farming hard and making sure you have safe objectives they pick mostly safe picks like Ryze and ignore risky champs.

Korea focuses on on taking risks for objectives but trying to make it so the enemy has to either fight you at dragon/tower or give it up (baiting you into making a mistake) champs like Kennen & Jayce who can jump on mistakes are pretty popular.

The champions differ around them like in China Shyvana and Sion are played while in NA I get flamed when I lock in Sion or Shyvana in ranked.

Meteos has been doing a bit more farm jungle which is closer to China (Which is why Shyvana is viable in China) and it works in NA decently due to how C9 works with just trying to go straight for objectives.

NA is the stagnant in terms of it's champion picks. Many teams have been running the same compositions for months/years.

Nothing to say about the rest. Fairly accurate i suppose.

You know... I've never been following all the tournaments but your opinion precised all the teams so good that now it'll be much better for me to understand their way of thinking during the matchups :)

I think the team OMG has been really dominant this season. However, I hope North America has a chance with C9 and will not get trashed by the Koreans/Chinese teams.

It seems pretty silly that first blood is so correlated with win rates, honestly. I feel like the better team just tends to get objectives first, so they tend to win as well.

First blood can lead to an early tower/dragon.

In NA due to CLG & DIG throwing every single game in the history of ever our first blood win rate is a bit lower then EU but I don't think many would argue EU has better players then NA (Other then maybe Froggen)

Exactly, the better team will leverage first blood into a lot more because they're the better team. The gold/xp from first blood is kind of irrelevant.

Froggen's Anivia will always be the stuff of legend. I wish KT would've made Worlds so there'd be a chance of seeing Meteos and InSec jungling against each other :(

InSec is top lane for KTB now and KaKAO is the jungler.

In my opinion, InSec hasn't been doing too well throughout the OGN, I don't think moving to top lane was much of a good idea.

Cloud 9 is our best hope, but against Korea I can't see them getting past Semis, will be interesting to see, I just don't want to get my hopes up for a NA team like I did last year (TSM).

lolwat EU stagnant? They bring out way more stuff than NA does.

I personally hope Gambit wins it this time. But Voidle made so many derpy plays in his games and if the next boot camp doesn't set him straight, then they'll lose group stages.

Feel C9 is overrated. But we'll see.

EUW is currently considered the least skilled (except for some select individuals) and stagnant region.

Personally, I don't have very high hopes for Gambit as they haven't been performing very well this year.

Pretty much all of EU is stagnant, and it came up quite plainly with the ridiculously close LCS standings. Basically, the pressure's on Cloud 9 to prove that they can compete on a global level - everyone expects Korea to do well, of course, and EU needs either a miracle or Gambit on the absolute top of their game.

Azubu Frost (Korea) was caught cheated in the games against TSM they should have been Disqualified but it was too late so they just lost a portion of their winnings.

Calling a game pause just to look at the livestream checking TSM's locations then TSM went on tilt after the strat failed when it should have worked they got cheated and everyone knows how moral affects a team game.
