Worth Reconnecting?

So I stopped playing a long time ago, and life's been pretty good. It'd be nice to get back into 07 scape, but the main things putting me off are the cost and possibility that there will be a tiny community in a year. So do you have to buy full membership for $15 a month just to play 07 scape? Do you think they'll reach the votes to have f2p servers? Will the community actually stay at a level where you can PK any time of day? Obviously you guys can't tell the future, but maybe you can give me some guidance

 

Members isn't $15 a month, unless you buy the game cards (it's about $10 a month if you pay with a card).

The vote finished awhile ago, so no, it isn't going to get enough votes to have F2P servers.

Server populations seem to be really steady at all hours of the day, so if that's any indication of how things are going to be down the track, it looks pretty hopeful.

All in all, I find it worth renewing to be honest. I quit RS about a year and a half ago, sold all my GP, some accounts, etc. Decided 2 nights ago to try at least a month of 07scape, and I don't regret it.

Since the 500K mark were nearly reached the next 6months theres no extra fee for membership, and f2p servers could be voted in since they decided to kinda "round it up" to 500k votes.

 

Wait... so they're actually considering charging on top of the membership fee to play a game they've put minimal effort into restoring and re-hosting? Like, it's possible that after 6 months you'll have to have the current ~$10 membership and pay an additional ~$5 or something to play 07? Jewgex >:l

 

There is no additional fee for at least the next 6 months for 07 scape. I can't see them bringing one in if the game stays active.

 

Hey bro, tbh im like you.. my life has evolved im more busy and belive it or not RS used to be an actual priority to me, lol. But now i play casually when i can and tbh, im enjoying it very much its chilled im in no rush to level up tbh i like this 07 scape alot, and as ive been analysing the number of players has been rising weekly which is positive. =]

 

I quit RS like 2 years ago and my mate told me that they brought oldschool runescape out. I decided to try even though I was like: not gonna play rs again got a life now. But here I am finding myself addicted
