    EOC questions.

With the release of EOC I have a few questions that I seem to not get full answers from anyone else. Maybe you guys can help me.

    1. Is 99 prayer still worth it? 50% damage protection rather than 100%.

    2. Does defence matter? Is your defence strictly your armour bonus, or does having 99 defence give you a better chance of survival rather its PVM or PVP?

    3. Is it worth it training herblore? I heard your damage is calculated by 90% weapons accuracy and 10% your level, therefore is extremes worth the effort?

    4. Magic apparently has capped damage at level 80, therefore training magic past level 80 isn't necessary because even at 99 I'll still be hitting the same as someone whose level 80 magic.

    EOC questions.

The prayer is still going to give you an advantage, so I still think it's fair because it does make life a little easier, plus it doesn't effect combat so might as well. Plus it still has the same protection pvp wise.

Yes, they made defense a vital part of this new system. Much more important than before. Pvp wise, it depends, it affects your combat level, but imo it is.

Yes still worth it, not as much as before, but they are still important and help out. Especially now since prices are low, get your herb as high as you can. Plus they will most likely update the extremes if it doesn't give a significant advantage because getting your herb that high takes some effort/cash.

The higher your mage level the higher you hit, they tried to make it just like melee. So you have access to those moves, but the higher your level the higher you hit with it.

So with an account thats 99hp,99att,99str,99range,99mage and 75 def it'd be better to get 99 def, rather then staying 75?

    EOC questions.

It depends if you are PvPing.

For PvP, Barrows Pures (70 Def) (99 Everything else)seems to be the best thing going, as 70 Defence gives you the life bonus of Barrows Armour which is good enough to own in PvP.

1 Def is no longer viable, but there still will be lower defence pures, like 50 Def is the best for PvP in F2P worlds for access to Rune Armour life bonus.

It's still worth training to use more powerful spells.. While it's true that wind surge (level 81) has the same max hit as fire surge (level 95) it's worthwhile to use specific elemental spells depending on which monster you are fighting.

This is how your combat level is calculated:
    defense + highest combat level(att/str/ranged/mage) +2
use this information how you like.
also 95 prayer is really worth it, as they have added turmoil equivalents for range/mage but anything beyond that is pointless besides getting the skillcape

    EOC questions.

Q: Is 99 prayer still worth it? 50% damage protection rather than 100%.
A: Personally, unless youre going for all 99s, no. the only reason to get 99 prayer not just to have 99, wud be the xtra prayer points, but they drain so fast the differance between 95 and 99 isnt really noticable.

Q: Does defence matter? Is your defence strictly your armour bonus, or does having 99 defence give you a better chance of survival rather its PVM or PVP?
A: Defence is just as important as it was before in a fight, and combat level wise, its even more important. your entire combat level is based off your def.

Q: Is it worth it training herblore? I heard your damage is calculated by 90% weapons accuracy and 10% your level, therefore is extremes worth the effort?
A: personally I'm not going to level herblore past 80, I'm to much of a penny pincher and making saradomin brews to 90 is over 44m and cleaning dwarf weed is around 20m from 80 - 90 and in my eyes, I refuse to spend anything over 40m minimum for 96 herblore. Money wise, no its not worth it, atleast to me.

Q: Magic apparently has capped damage at level 80, therefore training magic past level 80 isn't necessary because even at 99 I'll still be hitting the same as someone whose level 80 magic.
A: I havnt heard this before. this doesnt sound right at all to me, I'd suggest checking in 3+ places for this info to confirm it for sure. I believe even after EoC ice barrage hits higher than any spells at lvl 80. If you mean say a skill you can use at 80 mage still has the same max hit at lvl 99, then thats how mage has always been. 94 magic is worth it, even if 99 isnt.
