I've been away from botting for a while - What's new?

Hey sythe users. I have been away from botting for like 1-2 years.

I used to use rsbot and rsbuddy, which I think were good.

What's on the botting market now, what do people use and which bot is good enough to run many hours (I have a good laptop, don't worry about that :D)

    Cheers

Well, Rsbot is the thing that most of the sythe users are using.
The only problems with the bots right now is that Jagex has a new system update which makes many bots not to work.

Bots barely even work now, but there are some bot site you can try like powerbot or epicbot. i say powerbot in best.

Powerbot is really good , epicbot is dangerous because some hacking site hacked it :x

I personally used RSbuddy, powerbot and epicbot. They WERE all good. Now, epicbot has gone to shit (as someone said) so I don't recommned using it. I just rediscovered powerbot (seems legit, researching it further ATM) however I now mainly use Simba -> MSI. You can find it at Villavu.com. Check out http://villavu.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=64 for a ton of scripts (basically MSI (the equiv. of another bot) doesn't have much at all by default).

    Simba:

    The Good:
    -great community
    - opportunity to learn to script yourself
    - working "color" bot (just used the alcher a few hours ago.

    The Bad:
    - WORST quality: constantly maximizes itself.... very annoying
    - few default scripts, BUT can add more from community (URL mentioned above)
    - default scripts I've used so far are NOT as good as old bots. Ex. I mentioned I used the [default] alcher above - it was buggy: lost it's place, excessively slow, etc (but got the job done eventually)
    - they do NOT like goldfarming, so I wouldn't mention it fyi (and therefore many good farming scripts are absent) BUT there are still plenty of scripts that can earn $ - they just don't focus on it much
    - you run MSI -> need to run Simba at the same time which in turn needs its command prompt [seems like excessive stuff in my opinion + more taxing on my PC]
    - oh, and you cannot run multiple accounts at once (as far as I've tried) - used to be able to run 1 legit rs + 1 bot. Why does this suck? Harder to trade among your accounts + cannot run multiple bots.

So at the moment, use Simba unless you KNOW another bot works. Sucks, but beggars cannot be choosers....

EDIT: Been checking for a while - powerbot seems legit. I asked on here: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1428092 + googled it a few times. I'm going to check it out myself in a bit. Based
on passed XP, I'd highly recommend it for non-tech users (like myself) that just want to bot without any complications.

Thanks for your replies guys. Might do some research also, but as I see it right now Powerbot seems to be the "best" out there.

I've personally botted with RSBuddy, Epicbot, Powerbot (even before it was called Powerbot), RSBots(Nexus), and Misc Nexus bots, and Robotz In Disguise.

I've botted around 2500 hours with injection/reflection bots, and over 3100 hours with Robotz In Disguise. RiD is the only botting site I've used that hasn't earned me a macro ban. They haven't had any bans, even guideline breakers, since the last bot nuke. Since 2008, they created the guidelines, and no user has been banned following them. Breaking the guidelines, only 37 bans over 4 years with over 600,000 hours botted by the community. They do charge money for use of their bots, but you'd pay about the same per 99 as you would buying premium bots elsewhere. Also, purchasing credits allows you to try any of the 12 bots whenever you want, until you run out of credits. You really do get what you pay for, in account safety and quality.

What exactly do you mean by this? What is the point of purchasing credits if you can just buy the bot outright?

The reason the bots costs credits is because since the bot uses AI for it's decision making methods, AND it uses black-box security (meaning Jagex cannot analyze the code to develop detection methods for it), RiD has to pay hundreds every month for the servers that host these decision making methods for the bots. You pay about the same per 99 as you would with other bots. For example, a fletching bot from Perfecticus used to sell for ~$12. Well, you can get 99 fletching with RiDiverse in ~100 credits, which costs $7.99. For users who have purchased the largest set of credits (1000 credits for $64.99), this means they would have only paid ~$6.50 for their 99, which is about half of what other fletching scripts I've seen sell for.

Also, with other bots, you'd have to buy each individual bot, instead of having access to ALL of the bots without having to pay for each one.

Personally, the reason why I choose to pay a very very small 6.499 cents per hour of usage, is because I know that I will never have to worry about being banned and losing all of the time and money spent on my account. I know that using RiD I will be able to reach Maxed total level without any worry of a macro ban. RiD said he plans to make a bot for every skill eventually, and he already has 18 of them covered. Every time a new bot comes out, if you already have credits, then you automatically gain access to it, no need to pay again for the new one.

We have users who have botted over 10,000 hours with RiD, who still have 0 macro offenses. If you travel to their site, and look at the bottom of users active in the last 24 hours, anyone with a big glowing red name has botted a minimum of 3,000 premium hours; anyone who is baby blue and glowing, they've botted a minimum of 1000 premium hours. These users haven't received any macro bans, and they are the botting elite of our site, so why would you have anything to worry about?

    Here's my botting info:

I know that I will be able to use up the rest of those credits without a worry of a macro ban. I only bot on my main, and I used RiDiverse to get 99 fletching on my def pure, + 1-85 mining on a brand new f2p account from the free powerminer when I was first testing out the program back in April of 2010

theres gonna be a botnuke soon so don't buy any servers or scripts for now until we know how the bot nuke is going to affect injection/reflection and color bots.

Am not sure where you get the constantly maximizes it self...

The only default script is MSI and it is lightly maintained atm due to cohen's absence. But its not what villavu is centered around and you can find more scripts on villavu.com/forum under the script section

Again, that is MSI. You need to register for the forum to download other scripts. There are about 40+ working scripts and MSI is only one of them.

    This is true.

Again, this is MSI. If you use other scripts, you can run as much as you can. I am running 3 scripts (fletcher, runespan and soul war) atm on a core 2 duo and its going good.

So at the moment, use Simba unless you KNOW another bot works. Sucks, but beggars cannot be choosers....

Indeed if you just want a bot 1 click to run then use other bots like power, epic or rare bot
