How to make a Gravity Bong (With Household Supplies)

Hello and welcome to my first guide!

SMOKE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Also if you already have a bowl/bong this guide may be useless to you, unless you like to mix it up.

In this guide I will explain how to make and use a gravity bong with supplies that almost every household has.



What you need:
1. A 2 litter soda bottle or a jug (Milk, orange juice, etc.)
2. Ping pong ball
3. Lighter
4. Socket wrench head (Look in a toolbox)

5. Bucket
6. Weed (or whatever you plan to smoke)
7. Scissors



The guide:
Step 1 -
Start by taking the scissors and cutting out the bottom of the 2 litter. As demonstrated in this picture.




Step 2 -
Take the cap of the 2 litter bottle and begin to slowly burn the middle. You should notice a hole beginning to appear. When the hole becomes big enough shove the socket head into the cap. Be aware that you want this hole to be as air sealed as possible. Extra space will cause you to loose smoke, so make sure the socket head is firmly stuck in the cap.




Step 3 -
Fill the bucket with water, almost to the top.



Step 4 -
Put the ping pong ball in the bucket and then put the 2 litter over of. The purpose of the ping pong ball is to prevent you from sucking up water. The ping pong isn't necessary but believe me after hitting the bong a few times the water will taste awful.



Step 5 -
Pack the socket head. Make sure to remove the cap (lid) of the soda can before you put the 2 litter into the water.




Step 6 -
Place the 2 litter in the water, and screw the lid back on.
Light the socket head and slowly pull up on the 2 litter. The smoke should begin to build inside and should look something like this.




Step 7 -
Get high.
Suck and push the 2 litter down.

I'm glad I saw this guide. As a habitual smoker, I usually just tend to rolling or using my piece. But, as having a bong makes a smoother hit, I'm going to try this. I knew pretty much the basics to a gravity, but I didn't know about the ping pong ball thing. Everytime I've smoked a gravity, someone fucks up and gets water everywhere. Maybe this will make them be less prone to accidents. Thanks .

 

should probably put something in it saying that this ish isn't really for beginners. a friend of mine was smoking for like his 3rd time ever and he legit coughed for a straight up hour after taking a hit from a grav bong, then greened it lolol

Good times, haha. I use to make these out of gatorade bottle with salt shaker caps hahah. You can also just stab a hole in the side, instead of completely cutting the bottom off.

Hmm, I've never heard of the shaker caps alternative. Might have to give that a try.

This is a simple, yet in-depth guide. I personally have never tried using a gravity bong, it looks like I'll have to try it sometime soon. Does the temperature of the water effect the smoke at all? It doesn't seem as if the smoke goes through the water, so that was my one concern. As a continuum to this guide, you should try making a guide on how to make an apple-bong. That would be a great read. I also liked how simple step 7 is in this: "Get high.", aha.

in step 5 you got the lid on before the bottle is in the water , when you go to put the bottle in the water.. weed just gonna blow out the cone piece..

Awesome ping pong ball tip! Great guide, simple but complete enough. May try this, waterfalls bongs have worked for me in the past before I got glass pieces. Props.
