Runescape's becoming to easy

To your question - yes. I've got a buddy who I know IRL who tried playing runescape over the past few years many times but just never got into it, and he just a few days ago made an account and now loves it. He thinks getting level 40 is a big accomplishment, lol. I think making the game easier is better as it'll bring more people into the game who're just starting, as it chases out the people who've been playing for 5+ years.

It's almost like WoW as over the years leveling has become easier, as when I started playing at level 40 you got your first mount, and max level was 60, and to get to 40 was pretty hard. It's just how MMO's work IMO, they've got to make it easier for new people as the people who've been playing for years already have the 99's and rares and gold, etc.

I do agree though, the game has become MUCH easier. I started playing in 04-05, and back then having something valueable/high levels was respectable, now having a 99 is almost nothing.

 

Yeah I remember me getting the first 99, took me 1 month to get 99 fletching. Now people get it in 1-2 weeks while lvling other things.

I think its more because there is more money into the game, the method we couldn't use before, noobs use it those days just because they got alot of money.

 

I honestly don't mind it. I don't think you should have to spend thousands of hours to max your account. I don't know if your basing this thread towards runespan but runecrafting was really to slow

 

I remember using the quest hints on Runescape.com and felt like I was cheating as well.

 

I always thought everyone used quest guides! I've never done a quest without a guide. Anyway, the fact that they're making some methods of training AFKable and slightly slower is a great improvement to the game. I hate grinding. I just don't have to time to grind for 15 hours to get 65 RuneCrafting for a quest.

 

I'm not saying i followed all of Jagex's gay rules when maxing and getting comp cape on my account, but i completely agree this game has gone to the shitter , i grinded my RC experience at ZMI forever and nw theres like 100k an hr Rc experience?

No. RuneScape is getting easier to accomodate the players who can't spend hours upon hours grinding at the keyboard everyday. Laziness (though it's barely laziness) does not indicate unintelligence.

On the subject of 'dumber people', it's spelt accommodate, not accomadate.

 

This. I could never envision doing a quest without a guide, they are so unspecific about what you need and you'd be forever journeying back to the Ge to buy that extra item that you've missed.

 

it definataly came easier but they need to fix up the lag and make it more funner and less kiddish

 

They need to do something to make it a little bit more challenging the only thing hard in RS is money making and even that is easy if your maxed.

 

Ehhh it makes the quest more interesting imo, but if your only doing the quest for one of the reward's then yeah i would assume that quest guides would be very useful.

 

People actually did quests without using a guide? Lol. I think the game has gotten more convenient, not necessarily EASIER. RuneScape has never been a hard game. Everything just used to take for bloody ever.

 

i do like the game being more noob friendly but i dont support the stuff that allow people to train extremely fast

 

It does sometimes make things more fun, but i feel if we had a more of a challenge more people would definatly be playing. Notice how the amount of players in the past 2-3 years went from 600,000 people to 150,000 people

 

I disagree, making the end game content (The more difficult content) to get to turns off gamers. People have lives, and making you take 300+ hours of grinding to get a 99 is ridiculous and it makes people not want to play. The reason membership decreased is because they ruined the game taking out f2p. Challenge is for end game content, and end game content shouldn't take 900 - 1200 hours to get to. The average casual player may play 1 -2 hours on average. It would take a over 6 months for a casual player to get a 99 if they only trained that skill every day.

 

Drop rates are still shit.

XP is worse then Korean grinders.

Graphics aren't great so new players don't appeal.

Terrible Loot system IMO For any mmorpg. I Mean really, The best gear on the server cost 1.2bill.

to get this you need to.

GRind the FUCK out of the game, at least 6 months work if your a tryhard legit player. At least over a year for casual players.

Next is actually getting the gear. You have to dungeoneer for the chaotics(this is a minimum 2 week investment for a new player)

I played this game legit, got to 138, got multiple 99s, got 120 dung I raided endgame and I got the best gear on the game the hard way.

and I would never do this if i had not played runescape previously( back in classic).

Also from a PK point of view.

In runescape classic everyone pked with the same gear, made it fun as fuck because skil>gear.

Runescape now, Gear>Skill.

Just saying game is absolutely hard compared to other mmorpgs. And fun wise its became very dull for pvp.

 

The game is much easier like you can burn all logs, fletch all etc. You get bonus xp weekends, you get effigies, you get lamps, you now have the squeal of fortune..

 

To be honest, it's true. I'm seeing constant announcements "so and so has just achieved 99 in all skills" I mean come on, back in the day 100k in RS made you look pretty well set. Now, there's bils being passed around in stakes like nothing.

 

I do not mind having this game easier tbh.

Whatever helps Runescape to get new players is good for all of us.
