What Helm Do You Use?

I recently got a cls in addition to my rapier, and also BA'd myself a fighter hat. I now have Torag's Helm, A Fighter Hat, a Neitiznot, and a Full Slayer Helm. I'm really not sure which one to use! Fighter hat is good for accuracy, Neit for strength and a little prayer bonus in addition to magic defense, Slayer Helm is good for its mage defense, and Torag's for its great melee stats. My question is, which one of these helms should I use with my rapier, and which one with my CLS?

EDIT: I don't really see the reason for the popularity of Verac's Helm. A little prayer bonus isn't really necessary in a lot of situations, and the less negative mage defense isn't really that much of a plus either. If you do use Verac's helm, why?

 

I always use Neitznot when I'm not wearing a full set of Guthans, it's cheap, easy to get and pretty efficient.

 

The only training you should ever do is with a Full Slayer Helm. Why? In addition to getting an 18% boost to attack and strength, the Full Slayer Helm also increases your exp/hr by about 20% on top of that because you get the advantage of slayer exp.

Seriously, on my account with about 20m exp in combat stats but only about 5m exp in Slayer, I truly regret grinding away on other monsters to get to maxed combat. Now I keep whacking constant 550-600s with my CLS, but most of the exp is sadly wasted.


The only time I'm doing combat without Slayer is killing the occasional boss. In that case, it's best to just pull out a Torva/Pernix helm. If you're on a budget, then probably the best of what you listed is Verac. It has the best defense stats and a cool little prayer bonus that will help you camp the boss longer.

I always use my trusty neitiznot. Its got some good strength bonuses.

 

I use the Fighter helm for its stab bonus when I'm killing frosts.

 

Neit, its a great helm all around for everything.

I usually use Neitiznot helm unless I am on a Slayer task, in which case I will wear my full slayer helmet.

Zerker helm. The account I use for RS2 is only 45 def so kinda all I can use. But, when I had my other main I used the Neitiznot/Slayer.

 

Use neit its cheap and effective

 

I use the torva helm just because I can afford it but if i couldn't i would use a Fighter helm!

 

neitz when not doing slayer. i dont have to keep changing helms when briding in clan wars.

 

I use my Neit helm for everything. Slayer helm for slayer obviously, but I'm already maxed that skill.
