Only ones I use at the moment are Questhelper and AtlasLoot.

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
The one with all the bags up at once is OneBag3.
Also useful is Cartographer, RatingBuster, XPerl Frames, Dominos, and some others.
For Raiding, Omen, Deadly Boss Mods, etc. are good as well.

Download WowMatrix (wowmatrix.com). You can download all the add ons from there. And it gives descriptions of them.

I'll try that out, thanks, I've only used Curse, and that doesn't give great descriptions, if any.

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
Everyone uses their own addons, but you'll notice the following in many different UIs: Cartographer, some sort of Unit Frames like AGuF, a bag handler like ArkInventory, and usually (well, more like sometimes) bar handlers like Dominos/Bartender.

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
I would have to agree with Hammerburst.
Bartender4 is such a great AddOn. (It lets you have your actionbars anywhere on the screen really).
When ever I used to reinstall WoW I always got :
Bartender4 - Action Bar AddOn.
Omen - Threat Meter
DBM (Deadly Boss Mod) - For Raid Encounters (gives info).
DamageMeter - Self Explained (I think oO)
I'm a big fan of having a lot of space on my screen, and even hidding action bars, and just remember bindings (or I was... I've quit WoW)

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
I Use
XPerl UnitFrames (Changes the appearance of like everything.)
QuestHelper (Quest helper..? lol)
That's all you need unless you're lvl 80 because at level 80 people pvp, raid, etc and alot more is needed.

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
Recount shows everything you need to know about the stats for your fights. It shows, Dmg done, dmg take, healing done, healing taken, how you died, how much dps you do, and a lot more.
Atlasloot is also a very good addon. It shows all the gear you can get from PvP, instances, crafting skills, and world events.

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
If you're leveling or doing dailies, carbonite is suck as fuck. It causes a lot of lag though, so don't use it if you're raiding.
Atlas/Atlasloot is amazing
Auctioneer if you do a lot of merchanting in the AH or just farm a lot
Quartz if you're a caster

Re: What are useful add ons to have?
if your "newer" to WoW or wanna try a new race, i suggest a guide addon. dorianking made a sticky ( http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=514473) with free guide addons where to get them, and how to install them. I suggest "zygor's, it is VERY helpful
