Raiding For Dummies
Raiding is simply a group of more than 5 people combining their forces to complete certain tasks. There is city raiding, and instance raiding.
City raiding is where a group of, naturally 40 people, join together to raid one of 4 major cities of the opposing faction.
Alliance - Darnassus, Exodar, Ironforge, Stormwind
Horde - Orgrimmar, Silvermoon, Thunder Bluff, Undercity
There is an Achievement for both factions if you successfully raid all 4 cities and defeat their King, or ruler.
Alliance - [For The Alliance!]
Horde - [For The Horde!]
In the event that one is able to kill all four Kings, or rulers, they will obtain a Black War Bear as a reward.
As for instance raiding, all can be composed for levels 60-80, and comprised of anywhere from 10-40 people, based on the instance bounds.
Here all the following Raids that one may encounter on their leveling experience:
Raids consist of anywhere from 10-man to 40-man, and require not only skill, but understanding, co-ordination, and tactics.

Haha. I didn't need this guide, Have quite good knowledge with this, But with just briefing over it, it's a good guide.

Just for reference, Lower Blackrock Spire is not a raid, its a 5-man dungeon. Otherwise, nice quick reference guide.

Nice work putting all the raids together. It really helps out have all of them in one place. If only more people would do 40 man raids again =(.

Awesome, and thanks. I knew about all of the raids but about 1 or 2 of them I believe, because I really wasn't level 70 for that long. I never got to enjoy all the heroics and raiding back then, as others had done.

I meant more of end-game raids. Not really pvp raids.

Technically, there are Battleground Raids as well. Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley, Strand of the Ancients, and soon to be Isle of Conquest. There are also raids for people below level 60, or at least there were in classic. Well, the only one I can think of is Blackrock Spire, as you used to do raids up to 15 people, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, that's right too. Man. I forgot the whole PvP aspect of Raiding, as mentioned above with WG. Oh boy, this is going to take a while to compose.

Also, there are... I guess you could call them "World Raids" that were done much more in classic. The only two example I could think of would be those huge raids upon Tarren Mill in Southshore and the Crossroads in the Barrens. I'm not sure if those are relevant enough to be included though.
