To get started
What should I buy to get started? Can somebody guide me through the basics, or is there a tutorial? Whats the fastest way to level up, can somebody help with that (just to start off)? Can you buy gold? How much is gold? Which server or w/e should I join to be with all the syther users? Is there a level needed to join the Sythe guild? How do you recover WoW accounts? Is it easier or harder then in Runescape? Which class do you recommand?
Edit: Posted more questions.
Edit: Posted more questions. ;]
Any help is appreaciated, going out really soon so a fast response would be awesome.
Thanks!

Re: To get started
"Gold" is gp in WoW.
<EDIT> So..... the biggest thing that you must remember is that to type something, you must click "enter" first... also, go alliance or go home.
ALSO, look into the classes a bit before you decide, it makes a huge difference.
Just go to Walmart or something and get an expansion pack to get started.
tbh, you should RAF (recruit a friend) someone, I'm sure people trying to get you to RAF them... (you get 3x the xp when you level with someone RAF'd to you)
I was on a friend's account before (this friend has bought gold in WoW), and like 3 times a day, random level ones sent me tells about buying WoW gold again. Don't buy WoW gold.
Shadowmoon US is the guild that the <Sythe> guild (a guild is a group of people that get together... kind of like a clan) is in.
Any level can join <Sythe>.

Re: To get started
There is a 10 day trial you can get, but there are many limitations with it. You can basically buy everything you need at any game store, or a walmart or something.
You'll need the classic WoW, which is about 20 bucks, and it comes with a free month. The expansions aren't mandatory but are very recommended, and you'll need them to get past level 60.

Re: To get started
I have plenty of money so it's not a problem. Saying that, exactly what expansion packs am I going to need? I played on my friends account the other day and I'm hooked!
Edit: I have the 10 day trail.

Re: To get started
If you want to fully experience all of the WoW content up to 80, you'll need:
Retail version of WoW ($20)
The Burning Crusade ($20)
Wrath of the Lich King ($30-$40)
60-day game card ($30)
Overall, this will cost you about $100 total for 3 months of play time and all of the expansions. Let me refer you, by the way.

Golly, that's completely up to you. It's all about your play style. Look into the classes.
<edit> The classes: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/
This isn't useful, at all, but go to the "Warlock" section, and highlight from "type" to the picture.

Re: To get started
Which is the best class, you say?
Well that's entirely up to you. Depending on your play style, you will enjoy different classes. If you're into melee combat then rogues, warriors, death knights, paladins, druids and shamans (to an extent) are your best choice. Prefer casting? No problem, you can play mage, warlock, druid, shaman and priest.

Is there any way to make the WoW page smaller so I can still open tabs and use MSN?

Re: To get started
most players start out with, what are rumored to be the "easiest" classes
hunters, have a pet, if you know what your doing they can tank for you.
paladins, are so fucking cheap, you get this spell so they can't do any damage to you whenever your low, then you heal yourself so the spell doesn't get interrupted. never die.
warriors, if you run into a mob of guys of your level(2-4 guys) most likely you can kill them all, and i think this is a simple class, you just run and bash the monster while tanking.
i have a lvl 80 hunter and it's been pretty fun and no confusion

Re: To get started
Here's what each class in WoW can do... and be sure to be familiar with WoW terms!
Warrior- Tank,Dps
Paladin- Tank, Dps, Heal
Druid- Tank, Dps Heal
Death Knight- Tank, Dps
Hunter- Dps
Warlock- Dps
Rogue- Dps
Mage- Dps
Priest- Heal, Dps
Shaman- Heal, Dps
That's a list of what each class can do in a raid

Dps is how much damage you deal on a target(s)
(Damage per second) The more Dps you do the better
If you don't understand I hope someone else can explain it better

Re: To get started
Damage or DPS roles are exactly that. It's the tank's job to keep 'threat' generated and making sure that the boss is, at all times, attacking the tank. The healer's job is to...yeah, heal the tank and make sure that he doesn't die. It depends upon your class, but tanking classes generally favor Stamina and to a lesser extent Strength and Agility, damage classes prefer Agility and Strength, and healers prefer Intelligence.
For a starting class I highly recommend Druid, as it's every single class bundled into one gooey package for you to try out.
