A lot of the projects I take on are long term projects. Usually, I don't stick with them for a good amount of time, and it results in me losing face, and just stopping the project. However, I'm now trying to get a job at a local IT company that is looking for web developers, but before I submit my resume, I want to finish building my online portfolio (what respected developer doesn't have a good portfolio).
However, I'm a developer, not a designer, so I was thinking of making various scripts and such to run on my portfolio that show my capabilities.
What I need from people is ideas for tiny scripts. Things that pose no risk to bandwidth, are simplistic in nature, can be seen all over the web, etc.
I'm going to take the ideas, add a bit to them, make them, and host them on my portfolio.
For instance, here is something I already have made:

Simplistic, kind of pointless, but shows a few techniques of web developing that is commonly used.
If you have a unique idea for a script that is small but has a purpose, I'd love to hear it too. I need to have my portfolio up and running by next week, so please submit quickly!
(PHP/JS/AJAX scripts only)
