Realm: Shadowmoon... Faction? Vote Here!

Ok so looks like Shadowmoon won. Let's choose a faction now. I'd like to start horde, personally.

 

I say Alliance. I've never been fond of the Horde, to be honest, but then again...Male Humans. :sick:

 

It's a simple question of what you wish to accomplish.

Alliance, imo, has better cities. The Exodar is fantastic, easy, etc. SW, and IF are huge market places, and Darn is just neat.

Org is too poorly laid out, Undercity feels cramped, Silvermoon is awesome, and Thunderbluff is just stupid.

The starting area of most alliance characters progresses easily, and you can usually get to level 20 in the first day. Whereas the only race you can get to 20 in the first day on the horde side are the blood elves. Everyone else's starting area has some spot that takes way to much time to do a single quest (the second area for trolls and orcs as an example).

However, after you hit 40, leveling a horde character seems to be a little easier than leveling an alliance character. But it's only a very little bit. Alliance also gains reputation a bit faster than Horde, so it's really balanced out.

Then you have to consider the server, battlegrounds, AH value, gold value, etc.

Since I don't know much about the actual server, I can't say, but based on the basics I would say Alliance all the way .

 

But horde is so much more mature players.

 

Ha! I disagree. Almost everyone that plays WoW is a douche bag. Regardless of faction.

 

I actually found the exact opposite. I find that Alliance is much more mature, but I could be wrong, since I haven't played since a little after the release of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

 

Well i guess it depends on the realm. Warsong and Lightninghoof horde = isn't MATURE but it's all like.. 4chan people basically and kids that troll everyone. It's fun though.

 

Yeah, you're right, now that you mention it, Horde cities are really subpar compared to their Alliance counterparts.

I'm willing to play on Shadowmoon, regardless of faction. If anyone is interested in recruiting me or being recruited, that'd be great and easier for me. ^_^

Almost everyone on Sythe that plays on Shadowmoon already plays Alliance, so I doubt you'll get them to convert just because a poll told them so. As far as realm maturity is concerned, I will agree that Horde are usually more mature, but I've been pleasantly surprised to find Shadowmoon's Alliance are more mature than Horde.

 

Ehh this is true but the Sythe guild hasn't exactly came together on Shadowmoon Alliance...

 

I would play more on that realm if more people from sythe were on. When I first started and joined the sythe guild no one was on so I just went back to playing my other toons.

 

i say we do skullcrusher horde... economy is shit, but i have all my 80s on there lolz but, i say horde for ANY realm, i hate alliance tbh

And it's also why they usually win battlegrounds and wintergrasp. I play ally and I agree that ally has better starting areas and better capital cities, but overall horde are just better because they win more shit. If I was a horde on my ally server I would get geared a lot quicker.

 

The sythe guild was very active and maintained a year ago. Nobody did anything with the guild and people left to join raiding guilds / quit.

I guess we're going with Shadowmoon Alliance.. again. Are you guys actually willing to put effort into expanding if we make a guild?
