Paypal: Chargebacks and Limitations

Does this mean that if you get a gift send trough paypal there will be a 0% chance of them getting a chargeback?

 

Wrong. Gifts can still be chargedback. All payments via paypal can be chargedback regardless of sending method.

 

I.. uh.. ugh got scammed via paypal, that's so embarrassing to admit now.
Being new to paypal I knew some of the ins and outs but I didn't think notes where important and with my biggest trade via paypal totally slipped my mind to make them put a note. I see how important this guide is now, thank you.

hey guys i need some help please, i bought a account 2 weeks ago, when though paypal terms and service, I put buying online service. The account was locked within 3 days after i bought it. I messaged paypal about it and said i was missing a item. This what i said "Bought this account on the 29th of May, I was able to access it for 3 days then the account has been locked ever since. Due to Owner possibility locking it. This account has passed 2 other owners before i bought it. I wasn't aware of this as i took his word that he was the original owner. The guy I bought the account off didn't supply me with the proper recovery questions needed." Then linked Runescape screenshots of the account beening locked. Is there anyway to re-calm my money? I havn't escalated the dispute yet.

 

I don't think that PayPal can insure you for this as they can't really know if you received your account or not.

Next time buy an account only off a VERY trusted user. Good luck with your dispute though.
