Alternative to iTunes?
I have an ipod and I don't like to use iTunes because of how easy it is for all your songs to be wiped if you plug it into your computer. I have tried 2/3 programs including songbird, sharepod, and winamp + mipod and have had NO luck.
Winamp is very good but to work with an ipod, it relies on mi iPod(plugin) + an old version of itunes for it to work. I have had no luck with getting my ipod to play the music. When its plugged into winamp, the songs will show up and say its taking up the space but the iPod would not recognize it.
Any help?

Re: Alternative to iTunes?
Seeing as you've already tried SharePod, try YamiPod.

I use wmp for my music on the computer.
There's a program called Copytrans suite that lets you load songs and files onto your ipod, manage the playlists, and delete things from your ipod. Just google it, it should come up.

And its a pain when you have to transfer music to a new computer. When you browse the itunes music folder, you can't see song names, etc because its lots of folders with random lettering. So I wouldn't be able to find a specific song if I wanted to transfer to computer or import my music files to my computer.

Seriously?
I had to reinstall Win7, and all I did was drag the iTunes music folder back to where it was supposed to be and ta-da it was all back to normal.

Well, now I'd say Google music. It's actually pretty cool.

I don't use iTunes because I need to install QuickTime Player as well as updates for the software, so I use SharePod

Re: Alternative to iTunes?
You have 2 choices. Either dump iTunes for a not so good experience and less bloatware or dump ur iPod and use a drag n drop music player like Sony Walkman

Re: Alternative to iTunes?
I personally use Winamp and my Ipod worked fine with it. Well used to work fine, until I dropped and broke the Ipod.
