Xbox 360 controller to PC.
Basically I have a wireless xbox360 controller and a plug n play kit, from what I've read on google I cannot use it to play PC games(it recognizes it but), is there anyway to fool it into thinking it's a wired controller? Should act exactly the same as a wired controller I would think. Don't really want to go out spending however much it is for a receiver for the wireless controller.
Don't bother with the whole kb+m is better, some games play better with controllers face it.
Cheers.

Yes, just go onto ebay and search for a xbox to usb cable. Then get Xpadder 5.7 from tpb.
I wouldn't recommend a controller for games like CS:S but they would be fine for BO and such.

Not to say you're wrong but I did a search on that cable and came up empty. Well, not empty, but the only cables I saw were for original Xbox controllers. AFAIK, the only way to use a wireless 360 controller is to buy the wireless receiver from Microsoft.
Unfortunately the plug-n-play kit doesn't cut it by itself. I had to go out and buy a wired controller myself (for racing games, action/RPG games, etc.)

Re: Xbox 360 controller to PC.
I want to use the controller for games like darksiders and stuff cos I've read they play better with gamepads.
And well I don't have the money to buy a new controller that's why I wanted this to work, might just go trade ,my controller for a wired with a mate at some point if I can't get it to work.
Dank those drivers are for wireless controllers using the receiver.
imadecash, how is that relevant?
EasySalesP, shall look up in a minute.
Cheers guys.
EDIT; wasnt what I was looking for, just going to see if anyone wants to trade controllers lol.

Re: Xbox 360 controller to PC.
If you happen to buy the wireless receiver, then can use a program called SwitchBlade.
It use to be free, but now it's pay only I believe.
It's pretty cool , you can customize your keys immensely .

Re: Xbox 360 controller to PC.
I read somewhere that the wireless reciever isn't being made anymore and is decently hard to find?
So I'm just gonna trade my controller with a mate if anyone wants too.

I'd trade you, but only if you live close enough to Chicago.
