Re: Firefox 4
I switched from Chrome to Firefox 4 and prefer it over Chrome. It's a bit faster than Chrome was, for me at least. All of the additional addons is a plus as well. It looks better too.

Re: Firefox 4
I havn't used it, still have 3, but I've always preferred firefox due to it's flexibility and add ons. Chrome is definitly faster though.
Will download FF4 and check it out, if it's faster than chrome then that would be icing

Re: Firefox 4
Just downloaded Firefox 4 and it's AMAZING. Looks very nice and it's fast.
I had Firefox 3.6 just before this.

Re: Firefox 4
Chrome and firefox are very similar right now. Really ends up boiling down to personal preference.

Re: Firefox 4
Just downloaded it yesterday, and it seems a lot better than FF3 was. I'd recommend this over Chrome.

Re: Firefox 4
Chrome is faster, gives suggestions for searches, is cleaner, preloads pages, is easy to navigate and still seems to open and run faster for it than FF4.

Chrome does load faster, and indeed preloads some pages. However, I find that the 'suggestive search' feature is quite annoying. FX4, from what I've experienced so far has a better sheik than chrome does. I always needed themes for the previous firefox, but I really don't desire one with this new setup. I love how all of the menu is in one button, and it just feels a lot cleaner while retaining the loved firefox features.
However, chrome is indeed faster and will always be faster... only because of how it manages processes.
Firefox took a lot from chrome though, they really have improved upon it.

Re: Firefox 4
Using it right now. Other than all the menus being in one dropdown box like all the Microsoft Office shit, and the speed, it's not much different. But there's no status bar at the bottom, and with the absence of the menu things, it feels like the window is A LOT bigger, so it's really nice in that respect.
No technical issues that I noticed.. it's pretty fast too. Chrome is faster, but I still like it. A lot actually, I'm glad I downloaded it

Re: Firefox 4
If you're looking for something a little different altogether you can try Opera out. I dislike it for reasons that don't really matter technically..
The fastest version of Firefox I've used is Pale Moon. It's optimized specifically for Windows based systems.

Honestly, these updates just brought all the browsers to the same playing field again and it's down to user preference. Give it another year and see who comes out on top.
