Try uploading it to an image hosting website such as:

photobucket.com
imageshack.com
imgur.com

You can get a link to the picture that you upload to one of those sites and use that to set your avatar. I personally recommend photobucket.

I already did, with Tinypic, but I'll try one of these.

Edit:Still not working, is it a problem I'm using a proxy since I'm on a college IP, and the original IP is banned?

Can you link us to the avatar you want to upload? We might be able to see why it's not letting it through.

Ok, try saving it your computer and uploading from there. If you get the chance to upload your desired avatar here also that would be a great help.

It is most likely a problem with the proxy you are using. The only other thing I could suggest is un-checking all of the boxes such as "prevent java script" and such when using the proxy.

I would say as x339 has stated it's the proxy preventing any scripts from running.
