At the moment I would just change your password on here and anywhere else if you have the same password on another site that you use the same email/user for. It's still being investigated by Sythe, Matthew and Govind.

How did they find out that it was hacked?

Oh I'm pretty sure they knew something was wrong, otherwise how would they have reacted so fast. They're quite aware of who's hacked us and I'm pretty sure they'll be making vast improvements the security of the site.

Most "hackers" aren't smart enough to keep their mouths shut.

Roses, I've already seen at least one website (Bugabuse.net) who has someone claiming to have the entire Sythe Database. An administrator on that site was trying to sell it for around $7000, but it got dumped instead. Of course, this is just what the member of that site is saying, we can't know for sure. And I guess in a way it isn't exactly our business.

Either he was logged accessing certain files or most likely they found out when he bloated about it. Not to worry as vB4 is just around the corner and it is much more secure than this ancient version of vBulletin.
