1. Ok so you think you may have found a ban evader

So you have found a suspicious member of the community or are about to trade with someone. For starters whenever someone trades you, you should ALWAYS google their msn's/skypes just to be safe.

2. So I've Googled Their IM addresses, Now What?

What can i do if all of these random things come up, like this??


You put quotation marks around it and that will search for only that word and it gets rid of all the close matches

Now if you click on the links you will notice that on MMO the user is banned


And it says in the Sythe.org Rules:
So they have passed all your checks so far and give you their pp email addy to send the payment to, Repeat the above steps!!!, because if their paypal was verified they will rarely change it

3. They ARE a Ban Evading, Now What

So you have found conclusive evidence that they are ban evading, now what should i do?

You should head down the to report a Scammer section which is here http://www.sythe.org/report-scammer/ and inside it there is a subsection called report a ban evader, this is where we are going http://www.sythe.org/report-ban-evader/

Now you go into this sticky here http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1240795 and copy and paste the this

and then just fill in the form, and its easy as that

Good guide, will be useful when I see some suspicious looking members.

It is a nice idea, but I just found this guide pretty hard to follow. Pictures are cluttered and grammar isn't the best, I'd suggest fixing those up and you should be on your way

Confusing as fuck guide, try and clean it up.

But, it's pretty straightforward on what you need to do.

Take their msn/email and google it and then you're good.

If a the msn/email comes up a previous account that was banned or is in current use, then you have a vader/ someone with multiple accounts.

Nice guide, but like the above said its pretty hard to understand

This method is much more effective if you put quotation marks around the email adress you are googling.

Just a tip: You can use

site:sythe.org "[email protected]"

To get results from Sythe.org only. This can sometimes be effective.

but also check powerbot and mmo as well because a ban on there = ban on here lol

Yes, but then it's off-site activities and not ban evading ;-) But yeah, I agree. Not always useful, but sometimes it is.

I've also noticed newcomers who join close to the date of their posts tend to have a very familiar understanding of Sythe's rules. Might want to put that up too?

But they are evading a ban on another site on sythe :P and we dont want scammers here

I'm just saying it could be useful in situations where the user has used his email all over (youtube, facebook sites, google, yahoo etc.); there might be 50 sites with those non-related links, so instead of browsing through all of them, you could you use the site:sythe.org thingy

Google the email, always the best option.
