Ok so you all know how mods go around locking all the crap threads that need proof and pics and crap. well its really annoying that those threads stay in the forums.

when mod go around commenting on the threads first its even worst because all these stupid garbage post that dont matter get moved above everyone else while our sales threads get moved down and put off the front page earlier.

This wouldnt be a problem because the locked threads will die eventually but with us only being able to bump our threads once every 48 hours... its just a really anoying thing that seems like it could be fixed. I dont see why there not all just send to the archives thread instantly when there locked.


I also believe that this would stop people from spam bumping there threads as much, would help sales move faster, and keep the forums cleaner ( lets be honest no one wants to be reminded of the scammers on this site(and thats what 1/2 of the locked threads are.)

It would be an issue if there were tones of threads like this, but there aren't that many to be a big deal, 1 thread down isn't too bad...

Were not going to start archiving every thread we lock.

There's been cases when mass lock could be mass moved, to avoid this incidents.

Going through dozens of spam reports at once, this is just unfeasible. Besides, I like leaving the locked thread in the forum so that people know what to avoid in the future, or people have the ability to search for the answers included in the thread.

I'm definitely an opponent of locking and posting at the same time, though, for the same reason that it bumps the thread. It's all mod preference though.

well how about mods havng the ability to post on locked threads? would work if it was made so when you posted on a locked thread it didnt go to the top.

Its not normally 1 Thread down. normally there locked in 3's Ive even seen it up to 6 in a row and I haven't even been on sythe for a month now. mostly happens in the Xbox and non virtual items sections. I dont know if mods get points for locking the stupid threads or what but they do it all at once and it makes the top 3 spots all bs post.
