Alright, so I've come up with some new donation perks that would be easy to implement and would make people happy they donated more than 300$.
Or people currently at 300$ want to donate more to get these perks.

Now obviously donations aren't 100% about the perks, but let's be honest... Perks are awesome, and they definitely influence people into donating :P.

List of perks (Suggestion perks will be in this color)

Bigger PM Box - Store up to 500 messages!

Hidden Mode - The ability to appear offline to other users.

Larger Avatar - Changes the maximum avatar size to 150x100px.

Extra Post Icons - Access to over 30 extra post icons.

Custom User Title - Lets you choose your user title. (The small line of text which appears below your username on posts.) Note: User titles have some restrictions! They cannot contain references to staff positions, for example.

Enhanced User Title - The same as a custom user title, except you can choose the color and style of the text.

Custom Username Image - Lets you use an image instead of text for your username. As in, you can use an image where your username appears. This applies for posts, your profile, and the member's list.

Custom Rank - Lets you have a custom rank! You get to choose the outer two icons for your rank! The middle icon will be a pile of gold. The text on the rank will say $x donator, depending on how much you donate.

This will only affect a minority of people and i wouldnt donate $700 just to have a couple extra PＭ space. Are we trying to encourage people to donate, or to donate more?　Ｉthink that as a $25 donator perk we should have usernames that appear in BOLD text down the bottom of the home page.

I'd drop $300 for more inbox. Just saying.

Matthew already has several ideas being worked on. As of right now the best thing to do is just wait to see what he ends up releasing, then make suggestions upon that.

Whilst these suggestions are good, having something that stands out from the Admin post icon is not appropriate. We have that for a very good reason

The other information was not necessary, but I guess it provides an insight on the current donation perks for the current ranks.

The extra suggested perks which you've suggested are ideal, however I think a more suitable perk for $1,000+ donators could also be implemented, aside from your suggested one.

Nonetheless, I guess I'd have to support this as as you've stated yourself, it will hopefully encourage people to donate to the site.

This sounds like a good idea to me. Like you said lets face the facts who doesn't like perks. My only suggestion is Maybe something for an 800$ level seeing as 400$ is a large gap between 600-1000$. I'm not sure what I would suggest for this level but I will post my thoughts for it later on.

People who give 25$ donations should get an extra perk, you're right, I don't think your suggestion would be that great though, wouldn't make that big of a difference..

Hmm, I think using the "admin post" icon was a bad example.
Basically it would be an icon ONLY 1000$ + donors would have, I'm not sure if that's still a no.. though.


Also, suggestions on this thread are highly encouraged I'll gladly add them to the list.

I think community involvement is important and all suggestions are great. Like Lym said although Matthew may have something in the works maybe this will give him a reference as to what the community would like to see for donation perks. I'm sure there's a ton of great ideas floating around out there. Deathsnova of course people should be encouraged to donate more, donations help keep the site up and running without them you wouldn't have Sythe.

Maybe for the 1000$ donator perk it could be a custom post icon for each individual. Of course there would be rules to this such as it can't replicate the admin or mod post icon in anyway. Let's face it there are not that many 1,000$ donators would it really take much time to upload a custom post icon for them?

Liking some of the ideas, eagerly awaiting what Matthew comes up with.

I like the ideas Like Lyt said perhaps a $800 perk? Also, for the $1k perk, maybe it could be the same as their custom rank? Ie nate's (if he comes back) would be the white phat and n4n0 would be his dollar stacks.

na I think custom ones are a bit much. I don't think every 1,000$ donor should have a separate icon.

A white ribbon or something would be good though.

I'd like to see this. The more perks, the more people will donate which will help the site.

I Support new perk coming out i think people that donate $50+ should have more perks then already being received.
