Predict who will be in the 2012 Superbowl?
Vote and post thoughts as to who will be in next years Superbowl.
My call is the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Reasoning: The Eagles had good chemistry this season, but they are the youngest team (player wise). They will have spring training to get more adjusted to the NFL, and also they have signed Michael Vick for another year. He had an amazing season and did not play until Kolb was hurt after the first few games.
They have great potential, and were the closest to beating the Packers this post season (score wise). If only they didn't intercept it in the touchdown, it would've been a victory. This being said they could've asily dominated the remaining teams in the NFC.
The Packers: Well, what can you say here, yes the Jets have a chance but in all honesty, I see the Steelers returning to the Superbowl for yet another year. They have a team built well, with many superbowl players that are experienced and know how to handle the playoffs.
So YES, I am predicting TWO Pennsylvania Teams going head to head in the 2012 Superbowl. I have lived there, and the fans have so much spirit, passion and pride for their home teams.
Predicting Winner: EAGLES

Re: Predict who will be in the 2012 Superbowl?
Not a chance, Vick is quickly getting old and teams now know how to perfectly gameplan against him and beat him. The Eagles O-Line is nothing to write home about either, it isn't hard to get pressure on Vick and sack him. Speaking of old...your other pick is like the oldest team in the NFL. They are NOT getting back to the Super Bowl. To be honest, they were lucky to win their first two playoff games and beyond fortunate to even have a chance to win Super Bowl XLV. It would have been a blowout if the Packers didn't drop about 8 passes that hit the guys on the hands/numbers. For the NFC, I'm going back with the Packers. Next year, they only get better. Ryan Grant, a possible pro bowler, returns at running back. Dynamic and almost uncoverable Jermichael Finley also returns at tight end. That guy is an animal. Rodgers is quickly becoming one of the best qb's in the NFL. Packers would beat the Eagles again pretty easily, their defense is WAY better. Eagles secondary is so suspect, I think the Cowboys under Jason Garrett will win the division. On the AFC side I have the Patriots going back. Brady will be as amped as ever after a horribly disappointing end to his MVP season. That being said, Rodgers wins again next year....cementing his legacy already.

Fine with me tbh, then the Steelers have to absorb the Super Bowl loss even longer.

The 2012 superbowl? Then every team in the NFL should get a choice. You probably meant 2011. Oh well, it's over anyway. I called it 35-21 Greenbay over Pittsburgh in wildcard weekend. Not that it proves anything to tell anybody that now.

Pittsburgh and New England are in the same conference bro...unless you're just picking two possibilities.

If you want to talk about people getting old, Donald Driver, AKA the best WR on the Packers is getting old. Vick is good for another couple years, and they made something called a DRAFT, in which we'll be able to pick up a better Offensive line.
You can put as much pressure on Vick, he will find the gap in your defence and run all over you. If not he has the best WR in the NFL "DeSean Jackson" who has the most yards per reception for the 2010-2011 season which was 22.5.
Steelers...You can call it luck if you'd like, but their defence is dominant, and their running back will not go down unless you get a full on tackle.
I didn't add other teams because these were the teams who made it to the playoffs this year, and I'm doubting it will change.

What the hell are you smoking? Driver their best receiver? He might not even be their second best. Jennings is their best by far. Nelson/Jones/Finley are just as good as driver nowadays. Can't wait for the eagles to choke again as usual.
Oh yeah, Steelers d...so dominant. Packers dropped 31 on that number 2 ranked pass d. try 45+ if they don't drop everything

At some point it becomes ridiculous to credit luck. While they are an old team, the Steelers have proven time and time again that they're a winning franchise who consistently plays tough defense, runs the ball well, and can back up their running game with Big Ben's arm.
But what would you know about winning franchises? You're a Mets fan.
