Staff changes - tell us about them!

In the past couple of months, I've been continuously annoyed at the fact that the public of sythe is left to their own methods to work out the changes in the members of staff. For example, I was never told of Draucia's demotion, or Finn's return after a break.

What I propose is a thread in the 'News and Announcements' section where ANY change of staff position is documented i.e. when:
- A staff member moves sections
- takes a break
- is demoted
- resigns
- etc.

I want to clarify this: I DO NOT WISH TO KNOW WHY A STAFF MEMBER HAS CHANGED POSITION, ONLY THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED POSITION.

We deserve to know, and we want to know.

 

I couldnt agree more. I hate when someone gets banned or demodded and it's like impossible to find a reason.

It shows all the mods and such.

 

It doesn't show the changes made and it would be a waste of time to take a daily screenshot and compare it to another.

 

Completely support, would save me countless hours (exaggerated) spent searching scammer archive etc.

 

I fully agree with I Own You All, I've been trying to find out why some mods were banned recently and I couldn't find a thing on the subject.

The staff often wants to keep the ban/demote reasons private.

However, I agree that you should be told when it can be publicly known.

 

But who is required to post it?

I support, also I think we have the right to know what they did after there banned. (And confirmed banned)

 

I think he also wants to include why someone was demoted or resigned, which that list doesn't supply.

Sometimes it's necessary to keep certain matters amongst the staff and out of the public eye.

 

Support I am always curious what's going on with the staff.

 

I think the reasons should not have to be on the thread, but there should definitely be a running list of promotions and demotions.

Ome people aren't really getting where I'm coming from here. Tyro understood it exactly, whereas Sindre and Verts and some others saw it from another angle.

I only want to see the resignations/breaks/section moves/demotions. I do not care about the REASON.

 

I feel like it's nobody's business.

 

I would get annoyed looking through that list everyday. Where is the fun in that?

I think it would be more enjoyable seeing more staff announcements, and updates like staff changes.

That's because you're a very important person, and better than everyone else.

 

It really is no ones business as to why someone is demoted/banned, etc.

Just ask them yourselves.

 

If they leave for personal reasons, a thread can be made stating someone left but they did not want to share the reason.

If someone is demoted for scamming, or any other reason that isn't a good one, should be shared publicly, so people know whether they should be trusted or not.

If a mod scams, but no one knows why they were banned, then they talk to the person on msn and he/she just claims they left, that person can still claim to be trusted since he is ex-mod. Which can lead to more people getting scammed.

 

They wouldn't be demoted for scamming, they would be banned...
