Drewskyd's Guide To: Rendering Your Videos in HD for Youtube, Using Sony Vegas.

Hello, It's Drewskyd here with another guide for all of you, and it's on how to render video in HD for Youtube with Sony Vegas. The file sizes are also nice with the settings I will be using. You will need Quicktime to watch the videos once they are rendered though because they will be in a .mp4 format. Anyways here goes the guide.

Ok, First off you are going to have to open up your render settings in Sony Vegas. To do this go to File>Render As. Once there you will see a dropdown menu with all the video formats, click this and select "MainConcept AVC/AAC" it will put the default template for rendering there, but we are going to need to change that. So, Now you will need to select "Custom" and a new dialogue box will pop-up. Once it is up, you will need to name your template and change the Video rendering quality, to Best. Like so:

Once that is done, go to the Video tab and a bunch of things will come up. The first thing you will need to change is the frame size. So, select "Custom frame size" from the drop down menu. Once done, change the Width to 1280 and the Height to 720. Everything will be kept the same until the bottom unless you need to change the Frame rate for some reason. Once you get down to the bottom you will need to click "Variable bit rate". And, check "Two-pass". You can play around with the following settings but I selected for "Maximum (bps):" 4,000,000 and for "Average (bps):" 2,000,000. Once done, it should look something like this:

Now you are done with the settings! (Unless you want to change the audio settings)...So, click the save button in the top right-hand corner, then click OK.

Now that you have your template saved. You can select it from the dropdown menu and use it whenever you like. Now, to render just get your video and go to File>Render As, select the template, and name your file and hit "Save". It will then render your video in a nice format that will show up as HD in Youtube.

Hope you learned from the guide and enjoyed it! Please leave a comment on how the guide was, and how it could be improved. Thanks! bye.

This is really common sense, but otherwise good job.
This guide really is for beginners, who want to start uploading music, or possibly montages of FPS' or something of the sort.
I'll give this guide a 6.5/10 for the pictures and concept.
Just because it really is just common sense, but good work.

I may do something like that for one of my next 2 guides for my second UE Application. Right now though, I'm working on a guide on how to make your threads look more professional.

Oh and thank you for the feedback.
