but using these steps even just looking in the mirror improves your form not your shot shot comes from practice.

Not always, If it is too high on the finger tips then you lose ball control as you go up.

Nice guide.

Constructive Criticism: It's very basic and I think the title is a bit misleading. You only demonstrate the mechanics of shooting the "correct" or "standard" way. There are actually almost endless things you could do to become a better shooter. In addition, there are some very minor spelling errors such as "ballen" (which is actually spelled "ball'in" by gansters) guidhand (guide-hand I assume?), and etc. Finally, you might want to make step 2 a little easier to see. The text is very "foggy" and may be difficult for others to read.

Overall: Nice guide, I like the concept and hope you elaborate more on actually improving shooting ability.

Thanks yeah the purpose of this guide is more toward editing form which will guide you to a better shot. and the step two part im going to reupload guide.

Good guide. In all honesty, I'm one of my school's best shooters; however, I didn't read some guide to learn how to shoot. I just knew the fundamentals (what you're teaching here). Practise makes perfect. That's what it came down to for me.

While this is the basic procedure for the beginning shooter or novice to basketball. The point still remains you don't have to follow everything or have perfect form to be a good shooter. I myself used to shoot like this but its hard to shoot like this with tight defense on you. When you play with people who have good defense its hard to shoot like this. This is why I had to modify my shot and it helped alot.

It shouldn't be hard to shoot like this if you practice. It is now almost natural to me. If it is to hard to do this under pressure use this form on free throws. It has made my shot more consistent and accurate.

Your shot before must have been strange. These pics show a very basic shooting style.
