Yes Moderators, I'm aiming this at you.

Lately there has been what i would call, an outbreak of scammers within the "Steam Account Sales" section, and i would like to bring to your attention that handing out infractions to the users of sythe, who either "warn" or "accuse people of scamming without proof" is ridiculous, and utterly stupid. Moderators such as Venom1 are ignorant to that fact that if an entire thread is flamed with "this person is a scammer", that it is not entirely true, considering that even the most legitimate sellers such as aciddrop or even hyphern are backing up the fact that they are scammers. I think that sythe should review their moderators and instead of handing out infractions to the users who have been scammed, they should be doing their job, and be moderating the forum for scammers.

    "CloakEnaged Store|Hacks... 08-18-2009 01:03 PM 09-17-2009 01:03 PM 1 Accusing of scamming without proof venom1"
And Lawl, CloakEnaged was a scammer, you guys were too ignorant to see that after she had scammed atleast five 6 digit accounts.

If you agree with me, don't be hesitant to voice your opinion.

    Thank you, Will.

    I agree.

    Also to Mods:

Stop handing out random infractions for bumps and start banning some scammers.

    This site is losing it.

It will be a ghost town in about 6 months unless you guys start cleaning it up.

And don't start handing out bans for this thread either.

He is voicing his opinion, whether you agree or not.

Don't go all dictator on everyone's asses.

A group of friends could just gang up on one person and get them banned? that would be stupid.. Only the person who got scammed can call someone a scammer and if they have sufficient proof the user who scammed will be banned.. this is why you should always use middle mans for trading.. its common sense

If you ban all scammers on sythe, you have to ban about 90% :D

I dont see any problem with that.

Hence my 'Sythe is dying comment'.

    That is precisely why.

Edit: If this gets locked can we move it to offtopic discussion so we can continue?

Aciddrop, hyphern, xeL dont have sides. They don't judge on the fact of them disliking a person, they judge them on how legitimate they are. And you sir, have displayed numerous attempts/successful attempts of scamming.

Zeushi’s thread – Feel free to read all the bad comments in this thread - http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=676204

Yanis1: I'd be happy to be in a community with only legitimate sellers.

You haven't even been here 6 months.

    Nice made up signature fact.

Anyways, on topic. I agree, you shouldn't be infracted just for trying to warn someone. If you're saying "OMG HE WUNTID ME 2 GO FURST HEZ SCAMER," then sure, infract them, but if they can post proof etc. in the thread and let someone determine whether or not the person is a scammer themselves, why not?

What happens if you have a numerous amount of people stating that they're a scammer. Let's say 5+ people.

    Never said I had been.

I said based on how Sythe is filling with scammers, it WILL be done in six months if the mods dont clean it up.

Otherwise, I agree with your point.

You have to inspect each complaint individually, not just hand out infractions.

But the Sythe mods aren't exactly doing a good job with that, now are they?

    Thank you, aciddrop.

So far it's unanimous, Sythe Mods.

    We need a change.

& To all, sorry about the flaming on ZeusHi above, but i find it amazing that he had the audacity to comment against scammers on a page that is condemning them, considering he is a scammer himself.

    Hypocrisy at it's finest.

That would prove my theory that forums are dictatorships, not democracies.

While they can lock the thread cuz its in the wrong section, they have no right to hand out bans, or even warnings, just because we're talking about how we don't like them.

Mods, lock this or not, you're in the spotlight.

If you fuck up, everyone's going to be watching.

    My personal Views.

As offtopic as this is, I feel the need to post.

Hopefully we all do not get infractions for these.

As it is, you can't go around putting "He is a scammer" in a post.

Generally when I warn someone against a scammer in his thread, I tell them to refer to a link in the scammers report or post my chatlogs right in his thread.

With given proof, you will not be infracted. You have to admit, the mods have a tough job with the entirety of this forum, and a lot of the work they do involves laborous detective work; even some of my scammer reports take a long time to compile.

You all have a valid point of course, I just think as long as accusations/warnings are well thought out and presented with proof, things will be alright.
