    Official Community Assistance Rules

Before posting new guides, please take a moment to read the rules, and also read what types of guides we are looking for.

Firstly, all guides must be your own work.

Second, if a guide contains information verbatim to another source and you fail to give credit to the original author, it constitutes plagiarizing. Anyone caught plagiarizing/"ripping" guides, will be given an INSTANT FORUM BAN FROM USER EDUCATION.

Lastly, you may think it is a wise way of gaining trust; an easy way of distributing quickly produced guides, but ultimately, you will get the ''shitty'' end of the stick, as it is extremely easy to detect and then discover where the plagiarized guide originates.

    Important Rules to Know
    • No Plagiarism - Plagiarism is copying another person's work and passing them off as your own. If you post something somebody else has written, you must name and give credit to the author and/or site, and preferably also reference the source. Guides which include material from elsewhere that is not properly acknowledged in this way will be deleted and the poster banned from the User Education section. Yes, mentioned twice.
    • Be Polite and Respectful - If you think someone has posted a sub par guide, don't flame them. Instead, give some constructive criticism on how to improve.
    • Please crop images - Please crop your images used in guides, so they don't stretch the entire page. Not only is this annoying, it can make the guides a pain to read. As a rule of thumb, 500x500 is the largest they should be, with some exceptions.
    • Again, do not post guides in this section, if they already have their own forum. This mostly applies to Runescape guides, but general tutorials for graphics should follow the same rule. However, an example of an exception would be a Photoshop tutorial. If it fits into one of the sub forums inside of UE, it's alright to be posted here.
    • Do NOT attempt to sell guides in this section.
    • If you are planning to write guides for an application please view the rules for applying.
    • Lastly, we do not allow guides on illegal material. This includes warez, cracking/phishing, and guides on scamming. Please read the Sythe.org rules for a more complete list of what is allowed/disallowed.

What not to write guides on:
    • RuneScape / FunOrb
    • World Of Warcraft
    • Counter Strike: CS
    • Habbo Hotel
    • Illegal Subjects
    • Magic Tricks
    • Explosives & Bombs
    • Masturbation (Enough of these around the internet)
    • Drugs (Paraphernalia included)

Recipes can be written but not used for your UE application

Don't know what to write about? Here's what we're looking for:
    • SCAR/Pascal
    • Programming in general (C/+/++/Ruby/Delphi/Java/JavaScript/etc)
    • The internet. This includes HTML, XHTML, and markup languages such as that
    • Computer Basics/Science
    • Software
    • Hardware
    • Tweaks/Hacks
    • Operating system information/guides/hotkeys (Linux/Windows/MacOSX)
    • Internet Security
    • Misc. Fun Guides
