Increase your Pc speed

This is a simple tutorial on how to increase the speed of you pc.


Programs needed
-Mz Ram Booster http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9R6E442H
-Auslogics Disk Defrag http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OT4OVTLS
-Quick StartUp http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OJSI4VJA

1. Download Mz Ram Booster
2. Once installed Run the program
3. Click on the options tab change the following values
Try increase free Ram to (MB): Change the number in the box to 60% of your Pc ram.
so
512mb of ram change to 307mb
1gb of ram change to 600mb
2gb of ram change to 1200mb
4gb of ram change to 2400mb
8gb of ram change to 4800mb

Do the same for Try to recover(MB) and click apply settings
Also put a check in the Load on Windows startup box


4. Click on the Cpu Control tab
5. Select Foreground applications will have the best reponse time.
6. Set the L2 cache size to
512mb of ram change to 256kb
1gb of ram change to 512kb
2gb of ram change to 1000kb
4gb of ram change to 2000kb
7. Click Apply

8. Now whenever you want more speed click on the Optimize Now and Recover Memory Buttons to give your pc a huge boost in speed.
You should do this before you play any pc game and you should see a nice increase in the amount of frames per second. Plus a decrease in loading times.
Note once you have done steps 1-7 you will not have to do them ever again.

9. Download and install Auslogics Disk Defrag
10. Run it
11. Select the drive you want to defragment in this case defragment you main drive and click next.


12. Wait till it is done (this could take hours depending how much of you harddrive is used.) When its done it will report to you how much
Space it has freed up and how much it has optimized your harddrive.

13. Download and install Quick StartUp
14. Run Quick Startup
15. Disable startup programs by unchecking the boxes for the programs you don't want to run at system startup. The less programs you have running at startup the faster you pc will be.
Warning if you do not know what the program is do not disable it

Congratulations your Pc is now super charged for speed

How much of a boost in speed will I recieve off of this?

 

Not a lot.

 

Depends on your hard drive usage, and the size fo your hard drive. It did alot for me since I download alot of stuff.
