High Pardon Request

I think that this pardon can be submitted, it has been around six months since my ban and under the new rules it seems like you get three pardon chances lasting up to one year.

About six months ago I was banned for 'scamming' 100M RSGP' from a user named oldschoolsenior or something like that. We were involved in a trade for 300Mish that we really hadn't talked about all of the details on, because I had traded with him before with no issue. He traded over the first 100M, and I asked him in-game to show me the rest, which he refused. I was worried that he didn't even have the rest of the money so I debated with him on MSN and in-game that this wasn't the deal and he needed to trade the rest if he wanted to trade. I needed to buy in some kind of bulk because that was all the money I had etc. After being yelled at from downstairs to do something I quickly traded him back the money and logged off from rs. I noticed a few days later that I had been banned for scamming and surprised I talked to superman. He told me that without proof there was nothing that could be done :/ I haven't posted a pardon so far for a few different reasons. I didn't want to pay him an extra 100M + it would piss me off to have him walk out of this with my account being banned AND extra gold that he didn't deserve. Right after the ban I didn't bother to post a ban appeal because I knew I didn't have any proof of the transaction.

Now as I've been banned quite a while for this I'm really starting to miss my sythe account and all the cool stuff that goes on here. I would be willing to pay back the 100M to clear my name even if the user doesn't deserve it. I have done lots of legitimate trades on sythe and had a 900+ post count before I was banned. I've definitely learned that I need to be more careful and specific during my trades, keeping very good records of them. I am sorry for the staff time that this takes up and I would love to come back to sythe.

I understand that this might not be the best written high pardon in the world, but honestly I care about my sythe account and the people here. I'm willing to repair any harm that is seen to have been done, and ready to continue if the staff will support me.

Why would you accept his 100m if the deal was 300m and then bitch at him as if it's his fault? If you really wanted to do either 300m or 0, there was no reason to take his 100m at all. And your attitude of "all or nothing bro" will not fly, there's no reason you couldn't have just paid him for his 100m and found 200m from someone else.

I accepted 100M from him because we had agreed that he was trading me 300M and wanted to go in increments. I didn't "bitch" at him and it WAS his fault. The user told me that he had 300M RSGP and when I asked him to show the rest of the money suddenly he was unable to. Like I said, there was reason to take that 100M because at that point to my knowledge he had 300M RSGP. My attitude of "all or nothing bro" will not fly? We had arranged a trade for 300M RSGP, and the prices, and part way through he pretty much made it clear that he didn't have that amount. I did the reasonable thing and backed out of the trade, not trying to have any attitude at all. You are correct, I could have just paid for 100M but at that point I was not happy with the user anyway for telling me a lie about the trade, and thought that I might get a better price in bulk from a more trusted user.

Its really disappointing that you wouldn't support this :/ I really had/have no bad intentions and am totally willing to make this up however you guys deem appropriate. I know bans are permanent here and I totally agree that it should stay that way. I don't think people should be let off the hook for scamming and I bet as staff you hear a lot of bullshit from people trying to save their accounts. This is why I think the high pardon system is in place though, for situations like these. I never scammed the user/am sorry for the confusion this has caused/I was a positive member of the community and would love to come back and be active again/and am willing to pay back 100M EVEN THOUGH I didn't take it in the first place. I hope its really clear that I care a lot about my sythe account and would be thrilled to come back!

@Superman, really want to be part of sythe again. Love that market and rs2 cheating sections and if we can work this out you will never have a problem from me again.

@Video, I'm sorry that you feel that way. Other than handling a situation poorly on msn 6 months ago I don't really see what else I could have done. I explained to superman what happened, but without proof there is nothing that he could have done to help me. When I finally made the money back I came straight here so that I could try and salvage my account. Again, I didn't scam anyone..
I understand that you feel I handled it inappropriately, which can be discussed..but considering I didn't even do any damage/was a good sythe user before/am willing to pay the user the extra 100m if it means saving my account etc I really am having a hard time understanding why you don't support this. I respect your decision though, and I doubt you will change your mind at this point seeing as you have so strongly voted in one direction.

 

I think I'm gonna support this. Just make sure if you come back you improve your trading habits if you haven't all ready.

None of the pics in the orig scam report are working for me (http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1377188). I don't remember the convo word by word, but I do remember that it was extremely fishy. Process did handle the situation poorly.

However this is the pardon section for 2nd chances for people who have shown reform, and I support giving Process X a second chance.

I'm seeing all this support for my pardon and that really means a lot to me guys..I would like to take the time right now to get something else out.

I had made a new account on sythe. Its name is frontsight. All of my trades were good and legitimate, I made it because I was worried that I would never be accepted back. I know that I could just let this go into voting without bringing this out, but I wouldn't be okay with that. I want to voluntarily bring this other account into the picture so you can make a FAIR decision regarding my ban. I understand that that there is no justifying what I've done. I really hope that this can go to show my general character. Please look at this as eagerness to be part of the community again :/

I know that this brings another huge thing into the picture, and I know that it might cripple my chances of having my pardon accepted..but I'm just laying it out on the table to be voted on.

I can promise you that if I'm accepted back I will correct the issues that there were there. I will be more careful and precise during my trades and improve my trading habits as a whole. I would never think of scamming anyone or hurting the community in any way.

Please know that I'm a good person with a good heart, I'm really not here to bring harm to anyone. I would ask that you still support my pardon, as knowing this doesn't make me any larger of a danger to the community.

I'm a little disappointed that you didn't say you were ban evading in the original post, but I'm not going to revoke my support. The fact is that you had five moderators supporting your pardon, which is enough to get you to the next round, that being said, admitting to ban evading is a tough thing to do. I've looked at the account, Frontsight, and you seem like a nice member of the community. You participate in the RS2 section, report posts, you've only had one infraction for spamming, etc. So, I stick with my original stance.

I can't say that your reaction is unexpected :/

My pardon was being ignored until recently, and like I said I totally thought it would just be ignored because most of the time these don't really get serious consideration unless the user was someone really influential in the community. I told you about the account, knowing that this might end with me staying banned because of it. There really isn't much that I can say, only hope that people will still support me in this. I have brought no harm to the community, and you will see even on the other account I was making decent contributions and good, honest trades. I totally understand where you are coming from, and honestly as a staff member I might vote the same way. You have only seen two awful examples of my character and really have no reason to believe anything that I tell you.

I really regret that this ever happened, and I know that I might not even deserve a second chance. All that I want to do is fix this situation and come back, because I really do like it here.

Again, I'll ask that you support my pardon, this is really important to me.
