    MMing Accounts sticky

I think there should be a sticky or addition to this sticky http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1280653 that explains that Middlemen for account trades are practically a waste of time.

Kabal had a thread on this in market discussion some time ago (couldn't find it) where practically everyone agreed Middlemen are useless as they can only ensure the trade is safe at the instance it occurs, after that you are relying on the trustworthiness of the seller.

Too many people (mostly newcomers) think that as long as they buy an account and have someone MM the trade that it'll be a safe trade. With the new recovery system you are ensured at least a little while on the account to transfer your stuff on to the account while they receive the manual recovery form in an email from [email protected] and submit their information.

I think people need to be made more aware that MMing accounts is pretty much useless, thoughts?

Yeah. The seller acts trustworthy in a trade and just recovs the account back. Just like going 50/50

Yeah this is true MM is pretty pointless people think their email secured on the account means it cant be recovered but the true owner always can recover it, so really its all about trusting that person for as long as you play on the account.

I always thought of it as "if you don't trust the seller to go first, why trust them with an account that they can recover at any time?"

I always thought the same with PayPal too.

Support the add-on to the sticky.

Support, I know some people don't know this, and it would be a good idea adding it to the sticky.

i think most people know this, they just want a MM to hold the money so they are not scammed instantly, and to verify the account has the items the person claims it did.

Yeah, I think they know that part. But, I do remember seeing some users think that the account is not going to be recovered since it was in the process of MMing, an addition to the sticky might be helpful.

It's a simple matter of merging/creating a thread, for something as simple as this which could help prevent more potential scams from occurring, I support.

A sticky wouldn't do any harm, as long as it mentions that using an MM for the actual trade is still advised/a good idea.

I support the sticky. It should have a part in there that reminds newcomers to take screen shots of the whole trade process so they can report if any scam does happen, recovering accounts or perhaps a chargeback on paypal.

Realistically a newcomer probably wouldn't know which parts to screen shot. I'd endorse videoing the trade instead so they do not miss anything.

In my opinion if you can't trust the other user sufficiently to go first to them, then there is no point using a MM as the account would just get recovered at a later date, with added spoils of what the buyer puts on the account.

    Punkerpunk13 Onto A New Journey..

    MMing Accounts sticky

I fully support this. I think there should be an amendment though. I think that there needs to be an entire sticky pointing out all of the 'possible' dangers, even while using an MM. I.E; PayPal trades, accounts, upgrades (non rs cards), etc. I know we don't want to scare anybody with all of that, but I think if you're going to put one thing, you might as well put all of them.

Regardless if what I mentioned about comes into affect or not, I support fully with the original suggestion. :)

Pretty much what punker said - it's important to remember that even if you use an MM you need to trust the other guy
