Removal of Dicing Discussion HERE ONLY

Due to the massive amount of threads popping up, I'm going to make this dedicated thread. Discussion for the removal of dicing will be here and only here.

Wow...and I just diced 900m yesterday...if they woulda removed it yesterday it coulda stopped me.

 

It was bound to happen in my opinion. Oh well, move back to staking for your fast double-ups.

 

Nothing was forcing you to dice. You have to refuse the urge of addiction sometimes.

I think it is great that dicing is removed. I am tired of the beggers coming up and asking for money because they lost "x" amount dicing.

 

Was expecting dicing to be removed eventually. Is there any alternative besides staking? Is flower game still popular?

 

And now in dragon dyce they're talking about "skullball"? I figure eventually Jagex will remove anything that allows you to bet...except you could still use Runes in the games room.

 

I agree with you guys, Dicing was actually pretty ridiculous in the first place. It had no relevance to the game itself, and it was getting well out of hand. Staking was a very cool way to gamble on Runescape, and this should revive that.

 

I think this is a good thing, no more people getting rich in minutes (Unless they're good at staking) Although, I didn't see a problem with it in the first place, it had little effect on the economy as the GP was just passing from player to player, I'm quite positive there will come-about a new way to gamble though.

 

At least there were no dicing glitches, and it was fair no matter your stats.

I think it was a good alternative to staking. Problem lies with the hosts.

 

I'm just wondering what will happen to DD. Change to some other sort of gambling game or something?

 

It wasn't good. It was systematically removing money from people with a normal amount of wealth and giving it to those with a lot of it. Hosts gained 10% of all dicing money betted, no matter who won. It was basically a scam.

 

Like I said, problem lies with the host.

 

About time...The major clans will find a way to gamble other ways. IE Flowers etc..

 

I wonder if gold prices will go up as little seeing as some hosts make 1b+ a day and sell it to bulk buyers.

 

Dragon Dyce is working on alternatives, just to answer your questions. Right now we've got a game made up using the yes/no skullball.

Betters rub the skull and the first person to get a "Yes" against a "No" is the winner.

Very good idea, never knew about the skull ball but it seems like a good alternative.
