How To Stop Windows Live Messenger Popping up upon startup

Hi there, welcome to Guide number 3.

In this step by step guide I will be showing you how to stop the evil Windows live messenger/Msn messenger from popping up, whenever you start your machine.

Everytime I start up my laptop Windows live messenger pops-up and slows my computer down and gets in the way, after playing around with some settings I found a way to eliminate this.

Step One: Get to your desktop.



Step Two: Now go to your Start Menu, and type 'Msconfig'



Step Three: Now click on "Startup"



Step Four: This will now list the things your machine loads upon start up, scroll through the list until you find 'Windows live messenger'



Step Five: Untick the box and press ok, Upon startup windows live messenger will not show up.

I used this to block other things that started up on my computer now it runs so much faster
