Re: MY FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM! - Can't wait for 2012-2013 season!!!
#1- I agree but disagree with your opinion on Manning. He is a star. But all stars get bad, and I feel manning is not going to be as good as we expect him to be this year. First off he is very injure prone now after his injury last season, and think of how hard defensive lineman hit QB's. Also, he is with a new team, which is a new experience with him, he got very used to playing with the colts, but now he is in a new city and a new environment. I don't think manning will ever be "bad" in his career from now on forward, but I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't meet the standards fans are setting for him.
#2 - I agree with this point completely and totally. There are only 2 running QB's that I feel have been or will be successful, Micheal Vick and Cam Newton. Tebow may be able to scramble, but he can't throw for shit.
#3 - Like I said in number two, I think can newton is a strong scramble/running QB. If he needs to sneak, he'll get a first down. He will follow the path of micheal Vick in my opinion (not including dog fighting).
#4 - I wouldn't be suprised if the Panthers made it even farther. I agree that they will be a stronger team due to the draft this year.
#5 - Browns and Cardinals are my two picks for a Suprise in the playoffs this year.
Justin - what team do you support?
Does anyone think the Rogers is Super Bowl bound this year? And what is you guys' opinion on the Saints hit list?

I support the Lions, living right outside Detroit it is almost compulsory lol.
I do like the Vikings though, because I am a huge AP fan. I am hoping Christian Ponder is a good QB this year, I know he has what it takes, he just needs to use it.
Honestly though, I love the game too much to have 1 favorite, I watch every game, and see all the teams strengths and weaknesses.
I think Rogers and the whole Packers team got extremely unlucky last year not getting a ring, but then again that's football. As for making the Superbowl this year, I am not sure. They are undeniably a great team, but lots of other teams are on the rise also. They will make it to the last round of the playoffs that for sure, but I would not be surprised for them to go 13-3 honestly.
The Saints bounty situation is a sticky one, but the penalties imposed are just not needed. It is a dirty game, and being a fan honestly I want the best they are able to provide. I don't care that they get paid extra to try and knock someone out of the game, that is up to them. I feel bad for the player getting attacked of course, but if you don't want to get tackled don't play football.
I would LOVE to see the Panthers win the Superbowl this year, not because I am a Panthers fan per se, I just am awed by Cam. I mean being 6'6" and 250lbs plus and being a quarter back is something to watch for sure.
I would love to know your input on the QB situation in washington. Being a MSU fan, I would like it if they played Kirk Cousins instead of RG3. I see him being a bust honestly, what do you think?
Re: MY FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM! - Can't wait for 2012-2013 season!!!
RG3 is going to be a great rookie, but bad veteran. Idk if that makes sense to you. Basically because of all the hype he has this year, he will perform at top tier. But next year and years after there will be less hype about him and I think his name and his talent will slowly diminish. I had no idea who Kirk Cousins was until you posted his name. I researched him a bit and I think he would be a strong quarterback, but nowhere near all star in my opinion.
Lions eh.. Bro.. Thought you guys had your playoff spot locked in the first few weeks of the season. You guys were on fucking fire. I personally don't have an opinion this year. They didn't have any picks that popped out at me. They are just one of those teams this year where, it is what it is.
Opinion on Alex Smith? Will he perform like he did in the playoffs or was that just a fluke and he will go back to being bad ol' Alex as he has been in seasons before last.

Yea I know lions aren't the best, it is just my location and birth that influences that.
Alex smith is one that I honestly didn't follow too well. He never really popped out at me, and honestly I can't remember if he was good in the play offs, but it sounds like he was the way you said it. Usually players who have one or two good games is just a fluke, especially when they don't do so well in the regular season.
Also RG3 may be good for a little while like you said, but his fame will be short lived. He will start throwing crap passes, or start running for a loss on every play and people will get mad. That is my hope atleast, so Kirk can come in and be the starter.
Honestly I think Kirk is NFL material, not on par with Brady or Rogers or Manning, but definitely good enough to be a starter. He is a smart, accurate guy, and he can read just about any defense you throw at him. He just needs that playing time at the pro level, I think he will surprise a lot of people.

This is how I feel with TJ yates on the Texans. He was out 3rd string QB who soon became our starter after some injuries. He played VERY well for the few games he played. But once Schuab (our first string) healed, Yates was pushed to second string. He will stay our second string becuase we layed off Lienart. I think he has a great arm (better than schuabs) but he needs experience. I think in the next few years he will gain experiece and will become our 1st stringer when Schuab leaves. He will be an All Star no doubt. I fell the same with Kirk.
This video was made right before our 3rd stringer yates went into his playoff game.

I want to see how your offense does against our strong defense. And I would love too see our new rookie at work against such a great team as the pats. What is your opinion on Manning in Denver and Tebow at the Jets? You think Cam Newton will do as well as he did his rookie year? And what do you think will be the big Suprise when it comes to the playoffs this year? Opinions on the pats record? Etc.
Yeah I am looking forward to seeing how our strengthened defense will hold out, and how much they will have improved.
I think Manning in Denver will overall boost Denver's morale but honestly I think he will be prone to getting re-injured and we might have another Brett Favre situation where people intentionally try to injure him.
Tebow is just a publicity stunt, he will bring in revenue for the Jets but I doubt he will produce anything worth noting. Sanchez is a joker also, he isn't that great.
Cam Newton, I'd like to comment on but I don't really have a clue what his future will hold for him. He was relatively successful in his rookie year, I'd like to see how he develops.
Big surprises in playoffs? - I'll keep you posted when we get a lot closer to the playoffs haha.
Opinion on Pats record? I think that Tom Brady has passed his expiry date. He is still great, but is declining. Asides from that the patriots team has been bolstered considerably. First round draft picks improve the pass rush defense, and the Patriots now have more Wide Receivers then ever, Brandon Lloyd, Dante Stallworth and Jabar Gaffney. Of course all of these receivers were either in New England or had a history with Belichick. I think Jabar will get dropped (too slow) but I love the idea of the first two receivers. They both offer deep threat potential which the Patriots team lacked last year having traded Tate for Ochocinco then having Ochocinco being a flop. There is more depth at the running back position too with Stevan Ridley finally being able to blossom - lot of potential and Danny Woodhead staying on as 3DRB and the addition of Joseph Addai is promising. Realistically if Brady stays in form this year, we're in good shape to take the Super Bowl and achieve Brady's 4th ring.
