People should have the right to voice their opinions, even if others disagree with them.

'Niger'.. Let's see it could be racial but only because people tend to keep the meaning of the word, racial.

Factoid: The word 'Niger' has no link to one's race.

This word is brainwashed into the minds of public for being known as one meaning; meaning being racial, aside from the true meaning.

So why consider it racial?

There's, absolutely, no reason why it should be even 'considered'.

There's always 'two sides' to a story. First, people who chooses not be racial; second, people who choose. Of course, a story always has a conflict. This being, the first side disagreeing and/or indifferent of the second side. The first side, of course, is not going to agree with anything that the second side has to 'put out on the table'; vice-versa. Therefore, there is always a 'solution' to a story; this being, 'Freedom of Speech'.

What does this mean?

Being able to speak freely without censorship; being able to express one's opinion freely within certain parameters.

We also have The freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, the freedom to bare arms and so on. Some may argue the differences in Freedom of Speech, therefore things are being debated and taking away from our rights.
Slowly, we are losing the things our ForeFathers laid planned for us, because of this same exact incident.

Where an issue has two sides. The issue here, meaningless, is the word 'niger'. The solution, cant be agreed upon. This is an issue that pertains to several other issues that get debated upon everyday.

It seems people forget cowardice is a much worse offense than having an opinion some may deem, racist.

If you lack the vocabulary to voice your opinion in a manner that someone won't find offensive, then perhaps you should consult a dictionary and/or thesaurus for help.

 

Thats your opinion. If its used who cares. If i remember correctly, sythe stepped in last time that we were having a debate over the use of nazi's and swastikas on this site and said that we would not limit it..so i don't see why slurs would be different.

 

Because Nazis and Swastikas are based on identifying yourself with that group. Using the word "Nigga" or other variations of it are simply discriminatory and not needed. While I disapprove of the Nazi/Swastika issue, it's not the same as saying "You fucking jew" (that was meant in a discriminatory way for hypothetical purposes, I don't condone that language).
