I need a new gaming headset. Any ideas?

Well, I've gone through 2 Turtle Beach X11's in the past 3 years. It seems as if everything gaming related nowadays that is made in America are pieces of shit including the X Box itself as they have an extremely short lifespan as well. This being said, I want an idea of a nice gaming headset (preferably under 100 dollars) that is durable and provides a good gaming experience.

For under 100 $, you won't beat the turtle beach px21's in terms of sound quality and durability, plus, they're compatible with xbox, ps3 and the pc, which is always great.

I have always used Turtle Beach so I guess I would have to recommend them. However, since you have had problems with them in the past maybe try these?

I use a Astro Mixamp with Sennheiser PC 350's pretty sweet surround sound setup.

if you can afford a mixamp, buy it. I play competitive Halo and its amazing, you can hear what direction people are shooting/walking its pretty coool. cheers

I have a pair of Turtle Beach x31's and id highly recommend them, very good and durable.

Its not surprising you got through 2 pairs of x11's, i heard they were poor quality, you should look into investing into a more expensive pair if you want them to last.

If you could save abit longer go out an get astro A50 or A40's. If not i'd go with the x31's.

Turtle beach are deffidently my favorite, but just play around with them try to find friends and see which one fits you the best.

My Astros were ok but I liked my turtle beaches. I rarely used them for gaming since you can't really sound whore in mw3 I'd suggest the x11/12 if your on a budget.

I personally have turtle beaches x41s I bought on ebay for 140 but they should be about 100 or less now! maybe even 70ish

try using an old ghetto blue tooth with the chord. those seem to work just as good or even better than original mic the xbox comes with

If i were you i would go out and get a pair of Turtles x41s

For the money you pay i say its worth it.
On a comparison to Astros a40s their not that fair off to me as to i have both.
The sound lag from the wireless receivers is id say about a couple milla seconds apart from Astros.

Batteries are a hassle but get some rechargeable ones and your good.
Fit on head.
Astros are more Comfortable for longer gaming sessions but Turtles are just slightly a lil more eratibel for long sessions.

Overall tho i would say for the more than average Gamer thies are tterefic a die hard would go and get Astros.

Beast headset. Use it when I stay over my friends and can never get used to my shitty headset again for days afterwards. Can hear absolutely everything.

For headsets, i'd go with astro or you can get an astro mixamp and use steel series headsets.

The steel series sibera v2 is an AMAZING headset, and worth the 80.00 or so that you spend on it.

The Turtle Beach x31's are amazing, I've being using them for a while, no problems. If you want to go really cheap, the headset that comes with the xbox works pretty good too, but the x31's are better imo.
