Im really unsure as to what the reason ive just been banned for. Ive opened a ticket but in the meantime all i can think of is:

1) I traded 15K Gold between 2 of my own Characters

2) Ive been travelling recently

Is '1)' Bannable?

1) is not banable as long as you never bought the gold.

2) This could possibly be the reason with the constant change of I.P addresses, best thing to do is either ring them up or in the ticket attach a form of photo id with the name linked to the account to prove your identity. It will have to be a Passport or driving licence or other form of valid i.d.

That just means they have temporarily banned your account because they are concerned it may have been hacked.
You mention your were travelling, if you have signed in at numerous locations they will track your IP.

Don't worry, just message them with proof you own the account and they will unlock it but they will also prompt you to go through computer security checks.

Just got another message from them. THankfully they unbanned it as theres alot of shit on there but its interesting.

'After looking into things, it appears that your account has been found to be involved in some rather shady dealings. I can appreciate however that you may not have been aware of this and so I have returned access to the account. In the future though, please only use Blizzard promotions such as Recruit a Friend with people you know so that you can avoid this type of thing. Also make sure that any Blizzard pets/mounts you purchase are directly from the Blizzard store.'

Well, it's good that your account got unbanned at least but shady dealings? First I've heard of such a scenario.

can any of the moderators tell me if the person who created this thread had previous sythe account?

Wow1 was the name of my account that got hacked from me.
they told me it was last accessed from new york

Lol. All accounts are called Wow1, it can go to Wow(*) whatever, trial accounts, old accounts, they all add up. Wow1 has no relevance to your acc.
