Is this normal? Im certain its not....
Yesterday i had a dream and in this dream i literally was in love with a totally fantacised girl. We got married etc and had kids all in this 1 dream... I woke up and my heart was aching and yearning for this girl. She was completely made up yet i was actually in pain because of her and the completely fantacised life.
Quite weird huh? Or has that happened to anyone before.

Certainly is normal, I've had similar experiences with total fanticised strangers I'll never meet in my life, not because they're a stranger but because they're not real, yet having genuine feelings for them. You forget, move on and have another one about someone else Haha!

When you have a dream, you can't make people up.
So, you'd of seen this person once before. Find her!

Re: Is this normal? Im certain its not....
I once heard that every person that appears in your dream is a memory of somebody you've seen before, meaning you would have had to seen her somewhere.
It doesn't even need to be a major event, if you glanced over at a store and saw her for a second, not even thinking twice about her, that could have been her :P Your mind is a crazy place man, so much dormant information is stored and then discredited by us. But if this rumor is true, she has to be real, start the search!

It's not a rumor. We can not make up people in our dreams.
I have had something similar, but it was more of a dream about a girl who I know of (as in a celebrity) then I would have a crush on her for a week or so.

Re: Is this normal? Im certain its not....
I would say it is normal, and actually quite a cool experience. You should feel blessed, as it is absolutely amazing sometimes what your mind and imagination can conjure up when you are dreaming, and I often believe that these types of dreams actually have some sort of meaning or significance in our lives. I'm sure the dream you had reflects some sort of subconscious desire, or reflects a deep fantasy of yours about the kind of woman you want to marry and spend your life with.
As for my own experiences, I've had a few sort of similar dreams that I can remember. I had one recently that was quite beautiful, where there was a character in my dream who was like this life-long best friend that I'd had (a fictional character - not reflecting one from my real life) and she was helping me deal with the grief that I still feel for an ex-lover. The dream felt very long, like it literally took place over a year or two since this bad break up, and it was almost like this montage or collection of memories of all the time I had spent with this best friend during this horrible grieving and heavy loss that I had experienced in losing my lover (the lover based on a real life character). The montage of the memories were sort of "lived out" in the dream - kind of like the experience Joel has in the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - and the memories ultimately led to the realization that my true soul mate was actually my best friend, and had been there all along loving me in silence and helping me through the most difficult times in my life.
It is hard to explain really, and a lot of it doesn't make sense. The actual character of the best friend in the dream took the form of my ex-girlfriend weirdly enough, but in the dream this did not confuse me at all as I interpreted her as an entirely different person. It was really quite beautiful though, and it was one of those dreams that upon waking I felt an overwhelming feeling of sadness, and a longing desire to return back into the fabricated world my mind had created in my sleep. I seem to have those kind of dreams quite often

Re: Is this normal? Im certain its not....
I went through what you went through, though more extreme. I dreamt about a girl whom i have never met nor have yet to meet. Its a reoccurring dream and my wife thinks its someone ill meet in my life at some point. In all of my dreams I am madly in love with her and she and I are ALWAYS in the same room of some random house doing things. I always wake up out of breath and my heart POUNDING, like i had just ran a marathon.
I have seen a therapist about it and she thought that maybe the girl was the spirit of someone who has passed away and hasn't moved on. Its frightening sometimes because when i wake up I usually find myself in either my kitchen, my living room, or even my backyard(I NEVER SLEEP WALK UNLESS I DREAM ABOUT THIS GIRL)
I hate this dream girl....

That is incredible!
A lot of people are very skeptical about dreams having these sort of vision capabilities, but I like to believe that it is somehow possible. I think most dreams can be explained by either examining things you have felt, seen, heard, or seen throughout your life, and your dreams are made up of many of these memories and experiences being randomly meshed together. I also believe that dreams can mean much more than that, and sometimes the images and situations that we dream about can be reflections of deeper things, such as our deepest desires or things we have spent a lot of time thinking about, or manifestations of our thoughts, feelings, anxieties, imagined scenarios, etc.
This is why I like to really think about my dreams and analyze them, because usually after an analysis of the events, situations, and the "tone" and feeling of my dreams, I am able to trace some of those things back to things happening in my life, or to certain thoughts and feelings or moments that I've experienced before.
However, I still believe that perhaps it is possible to dream of things that have not happened yet and that are not necessarily based on previous experiences in your life. I don't know whether this is due to some of subconscious instinct that is able to make 'predictions' about future events in your life, or whether it is some other kind of remarkable ability of the human mind that is unexplainable at this point. But perhaps your wife is right about this woman being somebody that you may meet at a later point in your life? This is not extremely uncommon, I have heard of people having these kinds of vision or prediction type dreams before.
Very interesting to think about!

Re: Is this normal? Im certain its not....
It may have to do with someone you have seen lately. That girl might represent somebody very special in your life. Find her! It could also mean something else to, if you are still curious you can look up "dream moods" and find out what it truly means. Here I can give you a link

Sounds like someone's been munching out on cheese prior to bed, apparently its proven to make you have more exotic dreams, personally i tested this theory and i definitely back it up xD

Re: Is this normal? Im certain its not....
The same exact thing has happened to me. I thought it was odd too. I was just crushed when I woke up.
I've had this type of dream twice, but it only hurt the first time that it happened. I don't get it lol.
