But that's not to say I don't like rap in my hip hop, you get the idea. And Deathcore is technically considered a branch of metal but it's basically the production of two subgenres of metal coming together, which makes the actual metal in it pretty diluted. If a bunch of deathcore bands were putting on a show together it would be misleading to call it a metal show.

Rap and hip hop are not the same genre. They are just in the same REALM, also deathcore bands generally always call their shows "metal" shows around here if you say "core" all the real metal heads wont come and the faggot hxc kids wont go because they are too pretentious for the "core" label XD.
but ill play.
10-13 or so:
blink 182
ramones
clash
at the drive in
sum 41
nofx and a buch of epitaph/fat wreck poppy punk
14-17:
same as above but dropped the pop punk XD
got realllly into ska around this point in time, the toasters, op ivy, skatalites ect SOME 3rd wave. Started listening to tons of thrash about this point too.
17-22(present):
Still love punk ,ska and metal. Started to listen to folk a couple years back, lots of old and more lyrical hip hop in the vein of immortal technique, dead prez, del the funkee homosaipien, mos def ect.. i generally like just about all music nowadays with the exception of electronic/one of its million subgenres, I like my music to have some passion to it. You rob music of lyrics and real instruments and you get garbage with absolutely no soul. My tastes in metal have broadened into black metal and doom metal mainly nowadays. Folk has become very important to me after discovering townes van zandt, even some countyish folk singers like guy clark. Essentially i have delved into genres i would have never considered at a younger age ... it kinda blows my mind, as well as the others who get the honor of rooting through my 16k itunes songs ^^. I still listen to alot of guilty pleasure stuff.. blink, at the drive in, the cure... everyyyything .

Re: Changing tastes in music
I've always listened to pop-punk since I was about 13, I listened to bands like Green Day (American Idiot), Simple Plan, Blink 182 (which remains one of my favorite bands), and I still have a huge love for modern pop-punk bands like Agent, The Wonder Years, Man Overboard and The Story So Far, Handguns, Transit, Act As One etc.
I'm mostly interested in a lot of hardcore bands, specifically War Hound, Turnstile, Bulldoze, Trapped Under Ice, Backtrack (probably my favorite), H20, Disobey, Downpresser, Mindset, First Blood, United Youth, Focused Minds, Twitching Tongues, Kicked In (another favorite) etc.
At the moment my favorite band is called Basement. I absolutely love every single one of their tracks, I've got a lot of Basement merch. They're sort of doom-punk, depressing songs undeniably but I think they're so heartfelt.
I've always loved The Streets, as well, they're a UK hiphop/garage kind of mixture, I've listened to them since "a grand don't come for free" and when they broke up last year I was gutted.

Re: Changing tastes in music
Wow, you listen to literally the same shit I do. My tastes really aren't that broad. I tend to not listen to anything that's in this current or the previous decade.
Also, I think you forgot the Everclear.
And Pavement? I think you're the first person to know who that is. God I remember being like 7 listening to all of their music videos on the Crooked Rain VHS.
