anyone know free apps for iphone?
I'm looking for apps that give out free GPS without the need of wifi/data connection. I have a few to name out which are NavFree, citymaps2go and open maps. They aren't as good as the paid ones but anyone knows how to get them free?. I want to get the co-pilot or tomtom app but they cost too much.
I also wonder if jailbreaking would be the solution to having free applications on my iPhone 3GS 5.1

I can't really help you regarding the GPS applications as your App Store is a little different compared to the Australian App Store. With the Jailbreaking however, everything you need can be found at this link; http://www.redsn0w.us/2012/03/jailbr...910b6-how.html

If you don't want your jailbreak anymore, all you have to do is restore your iDevice through iTunes. If new Firmware is available for iOS, then they will force you to update to that. It won't damage your iPod at all.

Do you have to back up all your data and etc before restoring?

Yes, otherwise you'll lose all the stuff you've added to your phone since you last Backed up/Synced.

Well, I just Jail broke my iPhone 3GS. Which GPS apps would work offline that requires no internet connection to get from current location to your final destination?

Re: anyone know free apps for iphone?
All GPS need at least 3g/4g because the GPS feature in the phone needs the DATA connection to pinpoint where you are. The only way the GPS apps can work is with an external GPS case. I actually have one.

This is a case with a built in GPS transmitter.

My NavFree GPS doesn't require the 3g/4g/data/wifi because it uses offline maps by download. but i need a similar app to this though..
