Antivirus Software is not Enough!

Earlier today, I wrote a simplistic, primitive, working keylogger to test my antivirus software. I was surprised to note that my antivirus software did not detect it. I scanned it on http://virusscan.jotti.org/, and to my even greater surprise, none of the twenty trusted, reputable antivirus solutions used by that service found any infections on that file!



n4n0 and Clashfan can vouch that this file was indeed a 100% working keylogger that recorded all character keys typed and uploaded the log file to my server.

That got me thinking: keyloggers are very easy to write, and very hard to detect by established antivirus software. On a site such as Sythe.org, where hackings and account theft occur so frequently, how can people avoid being keylogged?

No computer is safe with just an Antivirus Software installed - New Virus's are being created constantly, and old ones are being FUD'd repeatedly (Fully Undetected) - Anyone with any sort of knowledge when it comes to some basic programming CAN create harmful software that WILL NOT be detected by online virus scanners/local software. These trojans and badware are not detectable by AV's (Anti-Virus Software) because to detect them, they first must have been seen, recognized, categorized, and then pushed out into updates.

Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend this E-Book, created by a man with a high level of knowledge, to help keep your computer clean!

Being someone who I would consider a security freak on the internet, I would say the guide is brilliant and would be very useful to anyone considering of buying the guide.

It contains analysis of the common keylogger, how the work, how they start up, the root of the cause and everything you need to know about them. He then explains all methods and steps you should take to protect your computer, for both currently infected and the non-infected, and how to find hidden keyloggers already on your computer. Although I would say one or two of the methods are available free on the internet, most aren't. The detail put into this guide is definitely by someone who knows their computer tech and programming.

Although following the procedures in the guide, my computer turned out clean, but that's no surprise to me. With the guide, you should expect to be able to increase your internet security by tenfold.

I'd give the guide a 9/10.
