Definition of Counter-Scamming; See Scamming.

Its not permitted in any way, Whatsoever, Sythe would never allow it, plznates situation, unfortunately, happened, it was one of those situational cases that never should have happened, The cracker was given back to the original owner, what done is done, but shall never happen again.

What is the specific reason why it's not permitted? Maybe I'm missing something but it seems like in nate's case, all that happened was Viou got his cracker back. Is that so bad?

This is hardly opening the floodgates to all kinds of scamming IMO. Obviously people will need 100% proof to validate them taking back what's theirs and anyone who doesn't have that proof should be banned

It would open the floodgates to scamming with people saying "It's a counters scam!" and it would be way to hard to tell the difference. It also pushed ethically boundaries and Richard won't go for it.

Mabye a mod-approved one-time scam permit for a certain amount? Like a search warrant type thing IDK just a suggestion.
Counter scamming without a permit would still be counted as just plain scamming and bannable.

I think that's what Nate thought and I'm fairly sure Richard (Aka owner of Sythe) did not approve. I could be wrong though.

I believe scamming of any kind should lead in a permeant ban under the right evidence.

Scamming: or any suspicious behavior similar to scamming or counter-scamming (i.e. attempting to scam), this includes Runescape name Sniping.

So I believe the Nate thing was a mistake to begin with, and it shouldn't have ever happened. There is nothing to do about it now though. Counter-scamming is against the rules for everyone.
