The theme is black knights, so having it kind of dark and a black knight in the banner/artwork would be cool. Could be a random drawn picture of a black knight, or it can be a black knight from Runescape. Whatever you think would look nice. I think abstract would look nicer than glossy, but do whatever you think looks best.

The banner needs to be this size, and be sure keep the little boxed-in area on the right side the same size and make the center area whiter because that place is for text/links:


I also need a topic photo, that is transparent like the one I post below. Needs to be the same size.
