How goodly can you speak english?

Are neither of the freshman forwards dressed out today?

Every dollar, mark and yen were affected by yesterday’s news from the Middle East.

German measles are different from and milder than the measles that john has now.

However, neither the portly president nor the beautiful teller are willing to account for his or her time the night the local bank was robbed.

The media seems to know exactly what will capture our interest and what won’t.

Arranged in the pine cupboard was a set of dishes belonging to my grandmother.

The wreck on the expressway created a nightmarish traffic jam nevertheless, drivers waited patiently (correct/incorrect? If incorrect, explain why.]
No clue about thisone. I'll go with incorrect. I think it should be "... traffic jam, nevertheless the drivers waited patiently."

Lovers' kiss. (Correct/incorrect? If incorrect, explain why)
damn hardone as well.. Incorrect, I think this means lovers his kiss?

Whom do you think we saw last night?

    Who were you talking to?

Curious about my score. I thought wow this is easy, untill those two correct/incorrect questions :p
    O yeah, I'm from Holland :)

How goodly can you speak english?

Ill post the scores from the quizzes above in like 20 minutes.

    Some advice to everyone:
Just because the sentence sounds right, doesn't mean it's grammatically correct.

    3. Are
    4. Is

    6. Was
    7. Incorrect. There needs to be a comma before nevertheless. The comma after nevertheless however is optional when the aforementioned is rectified.
    8. Correct. Some stupid rule to do with the word being possessive or singular.
    9. Whom.
    10. Whom.

Meh, some of these rules are useless in verbal English (who and whom) is acceptable in a day-to-day context.

How goodly can you speak english?

She does have exceptional english. These questions are tricky because some of them are exceptions to their respective grammar rules.

    edit:

Everyone seems to make this mistake :/. Only one person got it right. Great score btw :p

2.Every dollar, mark and yen was affected by yesterday’s news from the Middle East.

3.German measles are different from and milder than the measles that john has now.

4.However, neither the portly president nor the beautiful teller is willing to account for his or her time the night the local bank was robbed.

5.The media seem to know exactly what will capture our interest and what won’t.

6.Arranged in the pine cupboard was a set of dishes belonging to my grandmother.

7.The wreck on the expressway created a nightmarish traffic jam nevertheless, drivers waited patiently. (incorrect) I think the sentence either needs a comma after "jam", or the whole sentence needs to be rewritten.

    - The wreck on the expressway created a nightmarish traffic jam. Nevertheless, the drivers waited patiently.

    or completely rewritten:

    - The wreck on the expressway created a nightmarish traffic jam, but drivers waited patiently nevertheless.

I am a little stumped on this one ^ so I submitted multiple answers :D

8.Lovers' kiss. (correct) "Lovers" is plural (2 people) and its a possessive noun, so the apostrophe goes after the "s".

9.Who do you think we saw last night?

    10.Whom were you talking to?

EDIT: Can you please PM anything that I got wrong? This test was actually really cool and I am taking an English course next semester so I want to make sure I got my chops up :D
