Re: My SOTW1 Entry
I think the stock is a bit too big. The placement isn't the greatest, as it should be tilted a bit more to the right. The text should be darker, and it doesn't have a great placement either. It's rather nice compared to some of the work I see around here, so I like the effort. You should take out the text, and flip it horozontally and see what it looks like then. I have to turn my head to look at the focal completely. And, don't smudge way too much on the stock, as it doesn't always turn out good. Lower the opacity on the smudge layer. I like the desatured theme that you have, but I think you should up the contrast. The perfect way to do that is to make a black and white gradient map, like you already have done, and set it to luminosity. And, if you don't like it, up, or down the contrast.

Cheers mate. I'm not really a GFX kind of person, so I thought that was pretty decent for me.

I think thats awesome! Really! I'm entering too. I'm a begginer and I KNOW I can't do stuff like that. Besides, I don't have photoshop. I use Gimp.

It's obviously better than most of the things I see around here. You can tell, as I didn't have to CC much .
