I downloaded SCAR again yestarday and my computer keeps saying it's a trojan/virus.. Is it really a virus? i downloaded it from freddy's website. help me, and my mom deleted SCAR -.-

It's not a virus. Tell your mom that she needs to grow up and stop always doing what your antivirus says to make it look like she knows how to work a computer.

Another one of the programs that he created and was on his website(now discontinued) also showed up as a Trojan but many say it's just a false positive.

I speculate that the OCR built into SCAR is based on a certain trojan, hence the false positive.

It isn't...

@OP: SCAR does not contain a virus, the false positive is the result of the usage of the UPX file packer and other tools on SCAR which shrinks the filesize of the main file. You're perfectly safe. However, I suggest you try the SCAR Divi 3.25 Beta I recently released, though it's not 100% finished and may still contain a few bugs, but it's quite stable and it should be fully backwards compatible with the 3.22 release with a few non-important exceptions. It is different from any previous release and packed differently, so it should not give any false positive.
